  1. I don't understand people's issues with extra towels. It's the Caribbean. It's hot. Swim, pool, beach, sunscreen, sun, heat, breakfast, change clothes, lunch, change clothes, dinner, change clothes. We tend to shower a lot more on a cruise, thus the need for more dry towels. And towels hung back up in a cold bathroom in a cabin with ac going don't dry fast or at all. Plus, what is wrong with wanting to treat yourself to a dry towel on vacation. Personally, they can't leave me enough.
  2. Found all the info and stories very helpful. If anyone has a recent story or sightings please come back and add to this. TA very much.
  3. Someone said the offer for Wonder next week was targeted and not everyone was sent the offer. And that locals could benefit from this offer without having to consider things like air travel etc. Anyone not "local" get the offer?
  4. When people say "I like fresh ice" someone always says "well now just call for it". Try doing that. Then let's us know how long it took to get someone on the phone. Then to actually show up with it. Really so convenient. Someone please try and review that process.
  5. What's your point? This is happening. What category cabin you have?
  6. New or not, I would blame him for his attitude. That doesn't fly with me. Most folks seem to be saying they will pick evening service. Saw a poll it was like 68% evening. Yet, this is 4th story today about attendant being pushy and annoying when wanting to get in to clean while people are still getting ready for the evening. Not a great start.
  7. I read today someone on board this morning was told 8am to 12:30 and 4pm to 6pm.
  8. This the 3rd story like this I have read today. And one of the stories the attendant had attitude about evening cleaning bet 4 to 6pm and not happy the people were still dressing for evening and had attitude. Things are changing, not for the better. Attitude with me gets attitude back, not a tip.
  9. Why. It would cripple the company. They would be forced to rethink how it's all done.
  10. Oh they also sell a small bottle of spray (similar to that at first aid). You can spray some right on the beach, before walking over to first aid. Can't remember but think it has to do with vinegar? Urine is ammonia?
  11. They make rash guard shirts and pants. People get stung anywhere. Just as much from the waist up. I always have shirt (long sleeve rash guard) and water shoes. Just purchased rash guard water pants (kick boxing type tights). And $60 worth of safe sea. Thin cloth but my research says rash guard clothing improves your odds by 75%. Most stingers are very small and don't go through clothing. Not all, but says improves odds. Only a wetsuit is 100%. But rash guard shirts and pants are only like $20 on Amazon. So I'll take the extra help/protection. Not investing in a wetsuit, but clothing can't hurt. Also cuts down on sunburn, skin cancer, and amount of sunscreen used. You were lucky Dec to March is colder water. Less likely to be a big problem. I'm looking at end of May.
  12. Read messages board postings and now have started seeing YouTube videos about the large number of (large) jellyfish at Coco Cay. How bad has it been? What months have been worse then others? Which beaches are more problematic than other spots? Anyone have luck using safe sea? Or rash guard clothing?
  13. More chance of running into cabin attendant with twice a day service. Out of sight, is going to equal out of mind, for many passengers.
  14. I thought modify was flexible amounts as well. Just goes to show you, bring some cash.
  15. Best discounts = Black Friday. Don't get hung up on the %. They change the amount before the discount in there favor. It's Royal Caribbean math. Bottom line Black Friday is the best you will see.
  16. I bought nothing but light tan and off white shorts to wear. I hate that this happens. Planning on bringing a towel to sit on for boardwalk/back half of ship.
  17. No. But you can go and get the automatic gratuities removed at guest services up until morning of departure. I wouldn't wait past last day at sea. It's easier to get a hold of someone.
