Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Do you know approx how much the mocktails are? The daily soda package price right now is $15 (CAD) and the refreshment is $41. If I do one per day per kid, it should be less than $26 right?
  2. Didn't realise there were 2 tiers of non-alcoholic packages. SMH. Thank you! Will do that if we end up buying the package for ourselves.
  3. Hi everyone, I have a few questions about the the deluxe drink package that I tried to find on the Royal Caribbean website but I wasn't able to. 1) What is the time limit between drinks? We were on a Carnival cruise with the kids in January and I think it was 5 minutes or something and it was good. 2) We got the soda package for the kids and would order a mocktail or two a day for them using our package and it worked out great. Nobody really paid any attention and it wasn't egregious or anything and it wasn't dozens a day. Are we likely to run into any problems doing the same on Royal? 3) How does the cup work? Does it have a lid? We are going to have a day at Coco Cay, do we need to carry the cup around with us? 4) In general, are the packages worth it? I'm going to try to find prices somewhere and will do my own math, but I'm interested in others' thoughts. We aren't 'drink ourselves into oblivion' kind of people, but between a latte in the morning, drinks throughout the day and wine with dinner, we certainly did get our money's worth on the Carnival one. The Royal one costs more but I'm assuming the drinks do too? Many thanks!
  4. Hi everyone, I booked a 3-night cruise for my family of 4 on Liberty of the Seas in early 2024. I've been watching the prices for the drink packages and the shore excursions and they seem to fluctuate by a few dollars every few days. Is there a likely to be a sale with deeper discounts? Perhaps Black Friday? Thanks! I'm so excited. We went on a short cruise in January and the kids loved it. Hubby and I hadn't cruised since our honeymoon 16 years ago. I'm so excited we are getting back into it.
  5. Hi all, I posted this on the 'cabin selection tips' forum and it was suggested that I post it here as well. I have a question about balcony cabins on Liberty of the Seas. The cost difference to select your own room is significant so I'm thinking of just doing a guaranteed stateroom. 1) Are all of the balcony cabins oceanview? I don't want an interior facing balcony. 2) How bad are the obstructions, since I'm assuming that's likely what I'm going to get. 3) Any other risks to doing a guaranteed stateroom that I should know? I'm just wondering how risky this is and if it's worth the risk. Thoughts appreciated. Thanks so much!
