Liberty of the Seas - Balcony cabins

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I posted this on the 'cabin selection tips' forum and it was suggested that I post it here as well.

I have a question about balcony cabins on Liberty of the Seas.  The cost difference to select your own room is significant so I'm thinking of just doing a guaranteed stateroom.

1)  Are all of the balcony cabins oceanview?  I don't want an interior facing balcony.

2) How bad are the obstructions, since I'm assuming that's likely what I'm going to get.

3) Any other risks to doing a guaranteed stateroom that I should know?

I'm just wondering how risky this is and if it's worth the risk.  Thoughts appreciated.

Thanks so much!

No, only O and I class have interior facing balconies.

There are none usually - that's mainly a Q class thing.

There may likely be no other cabins in the exact category to move to after assignment.

Go to Google images and check out photos of the ship, you'll see there are no obstructions in front of the balconies. Even the lifeboats are recessed so your view looking down, even on the lowest floor balcony, will not be obstructed.

The rear-facing balconies are kind of obstructed by the ship's superstructure, but they are pretty popular so you probably wouldn't get one of those.
