  1. Off topic but I wonder if we are on the same cruise (Carnival Dream out of Galveston January 13-27, 2024). If so we are doing: Jamaica--Bobsled, Mystic Mountain, Dunn's River Falls Aruba-'Kakoo kunuka Bus & Beach Break Curacao--Family Combo: Caves, Snorkeling, Sights, & Beach Columbia--Sea Rumba & Old City Tour Panama Canal--Grand Tour (Eco, Indians, Locks) Costa Rica--Veragua Rain Forest ziplining & Tram Combo Cozumel--Ultimate Combo ( Mayan Ruins, Snorkeling, & Lunch)
  2. Does the Carnival Dream have self service laundry? I'd like to iron a few items and maybe do a load of laundry.
  3. I asked about both a 6 day and a 14 day because we are going on a 6 day Caribbean cruise in Sept and then a 14 day Panama cruise in January and we're wondering how many and when the formal/elegant nights were. Our first and second ever cruises, so we're excited!
  4. How many on a 14 day cruise?
  5. How many formal nights are there on a 6 day Carnival cruise?
  6. How many formal nights are there on a five day cruise and also on a fourteen day cruise?
  7. Lol How much alcohol do you need to drink to break even with the Cheers pkg?
  8. We will have two CPAPs. Will we have enough plug ins for both? We'll be on the Dream if that matters.
  9. Is the soda pkg worth it and does it start as soon as you get on board and last till you exit the ship? Thanks!
  10. Oh we also will have two CPAP machines we'll need to drop off in the room. Really don't want to carry them around till 1:30.
  11. All excursions are through Carnival and we are driving. We do hate dealing with carryons though. I bought it mainly to avoid the long lines at embarkation and debarkation. My husband hates waiting in long lines. Is FTTF worth it just for that though?
  12. I just bought the Faster to the Fun pass (FTTF) for our September cruise. Is it worth it? Also when might it be available for our January cruise?
  13. Just wanted to bump this up. I'd like to get some ideas.
  14. The ship will be the Dream. What is a "throwback sea day"? Thanks!
  15. Going on a 15 day Panama cruise in January. How many formal nights will there be? I looked on the Carnival site, but couldn't find it. Also how formal are they?
  16. I don't wear alot of makeup, but think I want to wear some on my upcoming Caribbean cruise. Stupid question but how do you keep it on all day in the heat and humidity? Seems it would just melt off, plus would feel sticky/sweaty.
  17. Just spoke to Kim at Trip Insurance Store (Steve was busy). Got medical insurance for both cruises. Very relieved I hadn't waited too late. Off Topic: even though we haven't even left for our first cruise (January 13-27th, 2024), we decided to book another shorter cruise Sept 17-23rd, 2023, so had to buy insurance for two cruises. We booked the January cruise exactly a week ago today and booked the Sept one two days ago. Are we crazy? lol
  18. Yes, I booked them thru Carnival. I wanted to do the big canal tour in Panama but it's already full, so booked the 'Grand tour (Eco, Indian, & Locks)' tour. In Aruba we're doing the Kukoo Kunuko Bus with beach break and in Curaçao doing the Family combo: caves, snorkeling, sights, and beach. We were disappointed there were only two options for Cartagena, Columbia. We chose the Sea rumba & old city tour, but not really enthused for it. Do you think they might add more options? Only two options seems odd.
  19. Hmm, good to know. I might get lucky then and not have to get a full coverage policy. My cardiologist pretty much leaves my meds alone, but my endocrinologist changes my insulins every time I see her. Lol.
  20. Not really. I understood what you said about since I have preexisting conditions, that I would probably have to get coverage for the full price of the cruise, whether I wanted it or not. I'm just not concerned about getting the cost of the cruise reimbursed. If I have to pay for a full coverage insurance though in order to get medical coverage, so be it. Thanks for your response. Since it's Saturday evening, I will probably call Monday.
