  1. Why not get into the spirit and "walk against the wind" right in.
  2. If you drink while still in port in Seattle, there is a roughly 10% tax levied by the city on each drink.
  3. I thought I had heard 21 days out somewhere.
  4. Yeah, I know, the spa is not really Popeye's scene. Our package came with a spa credit, thought everybody's did. No clue what to use it on.
  5. In Seattle that's $15 an hour, no way NCL would splurge for that. (But I doubt hotels are paying that much either . . . wink wink)
  6. You don't take advantage of the $50 credit for a pedicure at the spa?
  7. Fantastic. I remember seeing this place listed on Encore and thought it seemed like a less-than-special choice to use my "specialty certificate" on, but for the mornings it now sound like it will be very special.
  8. That film was shot at a Denny's right down the road from me in Eugene. It's still there, right off I-5, you can sit in that very booth. It sounds like my ideal Locals order would be a burger with pastrami and swiss. Hold the bun, hold the fries, with a side salad. Hopefully I will be able to order that at midnight on our boat.
  9. I don't know about whale watching, we're going to be on a boat for a week after all, and I imagine if we keep our eyes open we'll see whales at some point. But might look for Harv and Marv. Thanks for the tips.
  10. Hmm, if that' If that's all they had, then I wouldn't have visited it anyway. There are no late-night paleo options? Does the late night Local at least do burgers?
  11. My mistake I forgot about the scouts. (there might be some real hidden talent in that all-star game)
  12. On a huge boat keeping a limited late-night buffet open is costly? More costly than "The Local?" A "small percentage" of 4000 people is still substantial, and is it really a small percentage? That's not indicated in this thread anyway. Build it and they will come.
  13. When isn't traffic a nightmare in Seattle? They're just using that as an excuse. They already have 81 baseball games near downtown each year, what's a few more?
  14. Ok Basil Fawlty. You sound like a great fit to be a manager in the hospitality industry.
  15. Yes, I've also heard it's quite a walk from their stop to Creek Street and NCL had the gall to charge passengers for their shuttle the first few months after they moved there.
  16. They are free to think anything about me they want, as long as they continue to pour. If tipping $154 makes me an El cheapo, i'll proudly wear that hat.
  17. We can't ride the bus and now they say it's receding, please it can't be so! This is what it looked like when the Love Boat went there.
  18. They allow gambling on here? OK, I'll buy you a drink if we make it to page 3.
  19. I'm actually talking about a few entire threads related to tipping from a few weeks ago that seemed to have vanished off the face of the earth. You call it what you want, I call it censorship of ideas.
  20. I've gone all over this before, but apparently posts just disappear on here when somebody doesn't like them. I'm not going to spend time writing a whole essay again and have it just go "poof."
