  1. Not worth the calories? Not worth the effort. Contrary to all the Slocombe lovers, in MY opiniion, it is terrible.
  2. Please stop nit picking. Are you an engineer or just like to show how bright you are?. Ours was the only room in the line on both sides that did not have air. Our friends were next door and the air was fine. No open door, no closed drapes. Temp was as high as 90 degrees in the room. Been on many cruises and know the rules. Ship engineers were in to check maybe 25 times without result. They never had a conclusion
  3. My TA has been pursuing this since January with no result. They go back and forth without results and are ignored. One more comment. On January 10th at 8PM, the concierge in the lounge called us and offered us a $300 shipboard credit for our problem. We were leaving the ship at 8AM on the 11th. Almost impossible to find a way to spend this. So we asked if we could apply this amount to our next cruise in March. He called back and said that the company would not.
  4. Thanks! FYI, we have contacted Oceania several times, both during the cruise and since we have been home, and they have not replied. We have asked our travel agent to contact them also. It seems that they feel that if they do not answer, you will forget it. We are not one time cruisers and have over 20 Oceania cruises. We have five cruises booked with them. I think that because we are loyal Oceania guests, the fact that they ignored us, adds to the issue.
  5. This is my final post on this topic and never ending answers. How did we know they had extra cabins? After complaining every day for 36 days of a 39 day cruise and being told that the ship was full and here is a fan to compensate for the air conditioner not working properly, on day 37 they found a cabin and offered to move us for the remaining three days. A miracle? No! So please stop defending the ship and feel a little compassion for a fellow passenger.
  6. Gee move to another cabin! Why didn't we think of that? We asked for another cabin several times and we were told none were available. Lucky you!!
  7. Nice that you are comfy in room controlled air. Our cabin was 9155 and I can assure you that we did not have any air for 39 days of our cruise. After numerous attempts to fix this, we were given a fan after we said we would sleep in the concierge lounge. Not every one was as lucky as you. If you like, I can send you a picture of the fan. just let me know your email. This is not a small complaint, but a valid one after you pay twenty something thousand dollars for a room that should have everything functioning properly.
  8. Deja vu! We were on the Marina in a concierge room on a cruise from Miami to Buenos Aires Dec 23 to Jan 24. Our air conditioner did not work either. After many attempts to fix this, they gave us a fan. Never fixed this issue.
  9. We were on the same June cruise. Noticed that the food in GDR was not quite the same. Now on this new Dec/Jan cruise food just was not good. We also have started eating in the other venues, not because it is quicker, but because, for some reason, it is better. We are not reviewing any other food venue on Marina. All are good. It is just the GDR that we have noticed a steady decline and have opted to eat as little as we can. Going on Vista in March and expect to have a great time. I think that the problem is unique and only on the Marina.
  10. Sorry my wife is a great cook and her food is usually better than the Grand Dining Room.
  11. This is a very good point and I will bring up something that I really did not want to do initially. Last year we were on the Nautica and Toscana just was not as great as it usually is. The chef from Toscana on that cruise was made the head chef of the Grand Dining Room on Marina on this past cruise. So it is possible that the new head chef on Marina has had a direct influence on the food, service etc. on the Marina.
