We're taking our first Princess cruise later this year along the west coast. Our next cruise we hope to transit the Panama Canal. Is it beneficial to book a future cruise while on-board? Are price and room availability better? I've been researching cruises in early 2026 and suite availability is extremely sparse. Thank you for your comments.

Thanks for your input. We're sailing in 2026 but I was looking at 2025 itineraries in order to see what ships might make the trip. As you pointed out the Coral will transit the historic locks which many responders have also recommended. Thank you

Wanting to cruise Panama Canal April 2026. For possible options I'm looking at 2025 cruises. There are two ships, Coral and Caribbean, and two embarkation ports, Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral. Is there an advantage to either ship or embarkation port? I noticed that the Coral is a smaller ship. Does that change which set of locks transited? Thank you for input.

Well I'm embarrassed. On the Majestic next September in a PH suite with plus package upgrade. I mistakenly read the two free casual dining perks as two specialty dining perks. Now I know we get a free SD on embarkation day, that'll be nice. Been awhile since cruising. Familiar with specialty dining but never thought there would a charge for casual dining. My question, what are the casual dining options on the Majestic that charge a fee? Thank you

Have been on a handful of cruises but never on Princess and never in a penthouse suite. We're sailing on the Majestic Princess next year and booked a penthouse suite traveling the west coast. What are some of the suite perks we should be sure to indulge in during our cruise? We did upgrade to the Plus package. Thanks for advice.
