Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We booked a 2025 Aussie sailing as a rockstar less than 2 weeks ago. The price today is more than DOUBLE what we reserved at. If the prices stay this high it may be our sixth and last VV.
  2. ..and in your cabin. https://sport24live.com/schedule/at-sea
  3. I found the Central Sea Terrace mattresses absolutely fine on both Valiant and Resilient
  4. I would imagine it would be day 4 but that’s just a guess based on previus sailings. I’m on this itinerary for the first time end of November
  5. Yes my cancelled cruises weren 't back to backs. I also still have a sailing on Valiant in November which I can't now access as my account is totally screwed.
  6. Ghostshark I think I'm probably in a similar position to you. I was booked on two of the 8 day Eastern Caribbean Valiant sailings and both cancelled of course. Both were booked as part of large groups. There are simply no reasonably equivalent sailings during the time we have all co-ordinated time off. The 7 day San Juan itineraries which are now on Valiant are a pain to get to from the UK and also have far too many port days and not enough sea days. Being able to rebook for another date is great if you have lots of flexibility but useless for large groups co-ordinating time off work and having booked longhaul flights from Europe. So we're pretty screwed sadly and very disappointed. VV's conduct has been disgraceful - they must have known months ago these cruises wouldn't be happening but took the money and now we're expected to just smile and laugh it off and likely forced to take a poor alternative. As for the offer of more onboard credit - if two of us could even find a way to spend $1800 onboard a 5 or 7 day cruise with all food and soft drinks included already then I'd be worried about having an alcohol or gambling problem! It's a real shame because I love the VV product but their management is clearly shambolic and don't give two hoots.
  7. Yes I've done that but nothing there. And when I go to enter my card number it comes up with an error. I'll give it a few days and see if it sorts itself out.
  8. Hi all, I did have 3 VV sailings booked until they cancelled 2 of them yesterday. I've since been totally unable to access my VV online account. Anyone else finding the same? Obviously this means I'm also unable to access the booking that hasn't been cancelled.
  9. I filled in the status match form last weekend and heard nothing (Hyatt explorist). However, I've just receive a marketing email shows a card number and status as gold, which agrees with the spreadsheet. I can't seem to find anywhere on the MSC site that shows me my status though. Does anyone know where I could check this? I will definitely book an MSC cruise within 3 years as I'm eyeing up a UK cruise in 2024 but whenever I try and input my card number into the MSC site, it just comes up with an error.
  10. We were on the 13 Jan 8-dayer on Valiant from Miami. Really, really disappointed as we're probably Virgin's ideal target market and recruited a group of first time cruisers to join us. All now screwed by the decision to protect the BL itineraries. The offer of a refund or switch to another cruise is pretty useless when everyone has time off work booked and non-refundable flights UK to Miami booked. The only realistic 'options' are a 5 nighter from Miami or a 7 nighter from San Juan which is a real pain to get to. They will have known about this delay months ago and it's a disgrace they let us all go ahead and book with no intention of operating the sailings. Talk about bait and switch. Plenty of 'I'm alright Jacks' who think everyone should just suck it up but Virgin have behaved disgracefully and the offer of onboard credit is lame. We already have $1200 of onboard spend linked to our 8-night cruise booking. What use is another $600 we couldn't spend $1800 in a week if we tried so is just a false pretence of being generous.
