  1. Hey PORT ROYAL, You didn't by chance see all that sugar cane that's being grown to make all that rhum did you? The drive up into DePaz there's sugar cane everywhere blowing in the wind. I didn't know what it was Christelle told us. When I think of sugar I don't think of like green bamboo grass being grown on the side of a magnificent volcano. I think of a yellow 5 lb. bag of Domino sugar that you put in your ice tea or put on a bowl of cereal, that I bought at Walmart.😕
  2. It all depends on whether or not the French are mad at us😁or not. Same ol song and dance. If we "the US" are getting along with the French government, Martinique accepts the US but very unreluctantly. If we're not getting along with the French keep it simple save yourself the BS and go get yourself some Euros. It's as simple as that.
  3. PORT ROYAL, I love rhum tastings!! I went to one at the DePaz Distillery several years ago. Martinique has great Rhum, it tastes as good as it looks. Yummy!!! PORT ROYAL we need to hang out on Martinique together spend our day with Christelle of Karambola Tours and sip rhum all day, all different kinds. No kidding that rhum is so sugary it almost has a syrup consistency, SO YUMMY!!! I always wondered how they came up with all those beautiful different colored rhums. They certainly are enticing and taste lovely. What a treat.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  4. Great post!! Absolutely true, both of them suck. As one of my CC pals has stated previously. If one plans to spend their day on Barbados with S.H.T. and T'erds go for it.(Thanks PORT ROYAL!!) Go hop on a cat. sail for the day too many other nice tours to take than to sit sardine canned on Carlisle Beach at the Boatyard with a ton and I mean a TON of S.H.T. and another 500 T'erds. Barbados is AWESOME and so is PORT ROYAL!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  5. I love food truck food!! We've discussed this before in my case I'll never go back to Magens Bay without my own softsided cooler full of my own beer. I'll take my own trash bag and haul the empty's out on the way back to the ship. BYOB at Magens saves ALOT of hassle all the way around. You can walk down the beach keep walking set your junk down, don't have to worry about walking all the way back to the bar and getting another beer. Never again will I plan any trip to a beach wherever it may be without bringing my own softsided cooler with my own beer. Oh yeah I almost forgot a 6-pack on a beach in the Caribbean just piss ya off. I highly recommend 3, 6-packs. 1, 6-pack is just for the ride down into Magens in a Safari Van🥴😲. Trust me your going to need it. The other 2, 6 packs are for your day on the beach. Softsided backpack cooler.😎🌟🌟🌟🌟😎 Twist up a couple of tree limbs. Sit down on the end of Magens and live life like it was meant to be lived. Thanks Ms411 for the heads up.
  6. Welcome to the party......or lack thereof. The "beer situation" as you put it has been TERRIBLE for the last 10+ years down there. Until the new concessions open up forget about the "beer situation" and do exactly the same thing I've done on my last several visits to Magens Bay BYOB. In the V.I's, you do things when you can do things, timing really doesn't play into the equation. In your case who cares, your going to St. Thomas. Take a taxi to Sapphire Beach or Secret Harbor and forget about it. Lotsa nice Beaches on STT and STJ. No worries. 🌟🌟🌟🌟😎
  7. Try Shorexcursioneer or Resorts for a Day. I booked Goff's Caye twice with Resorts for a Day. No problemo. Have fun.
  8. Our prayers are being answered!! Thank Ms411 for the update. It's very ironic that I have been very critical of the food service(concessions) or lack thereof at Magens Bay for years. Now they are finally doing something about it. So happy to hear and very happy for the future of Magens Bay. Bad timing, 100% V.I. way every time😂😂😂 you guys aren't even close when it comes to timing down there!!!😂😂😂. You all will kill each other to screw it up!! You just have to do it and get it done and take it from there. It's all good it's St.Thomas. Thanks for the update. Hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
  9. Yummy that drink sounds wonderful!! Thanks PORT ROYAL.
  10. Congratulations!! Oh my what a nice day in the water on Barbados!! Nick, his crew, food and drink are great. Water around Barbados is absolutely beautiful. Well you don't have to worry about Barbados anymore.😎🌟🌟🌟🌟😎. Nice!!
  11. What a crock of BS especially on your cruise vacation. Timeshare sale pitch in Aruba while you could be on Eagle Beach having a wonderful day?🤮 Tell them to take their "crock of BS" "day pass", they're 2nd grade timeshare sh!tshow and stick it where the sun never thought about shining.
  12. Anytime PORT ROYAL!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I'm just glad I finally got to help you out, you give us all these great island tour tips, lots of them. Glad I could help. You'll enjoy your day on the CG, a wonderful day altogether. Great vibe on the boat great people lot's of fun. Hope all is well Todd
  13. Hey PORT ROYAL!! The Calypso Girl, our CC group we sailed on her twice. Excellent experience all the way around. Fun crew Great food and drinks, snorkeling was excellent. Thanks!!
  14. She can take a taxi. It sounded like she was traveling with Family. I always take the bus because it's cheap no stress and plenty of room. No crawling into the back of a 4 wheeled sardine can. City bus big seats many empty plenty of room to set your backpack down on. Very open no hurry. City Bus for me every time. 😎😎
  15. Congratulations on your solo trip.👍 I've cruised the Emerald Princess on 5 separate occasions solo. I was trying to keep it a secret how awesome it is to cruise Princess solo especially the Emerald Princess. Nice isn't it!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟 Straight, gay, male or female all couples though. Very few singles on Princess Cruise ships I certainly hope it stays that way, but it's not though. Everybody's catching on. Princess is AWESOME solo. Glad you enjoyed your trip. Have fun on your next sailing. 🤜🤛
  16. Wine pre-cruise been doing this a LONG time whether it's pick or delivery to your hotel Total Wines is the only way to go. I always ordered it online to be picked up on the way to the hotel from FLL. Your taxi driver will pull up out front you walk in show your ID(your wine order will be on the counter waiting for you), and your back in your taxi having a glass of Chardonnay on the way to your hotel. Total Wines delivers, if your like myself though, someone who doesn't fly sober and wants to have a drink of something when you land in Ft. Lauderdale ordering online for pickup is the way to go.
  17. Trunk definitely has lockers. Nice locker room too plenty of room to change into dry clothes for the trip back over to STT. I always take a change of clothes when I head over to STJ and Trunk Bay. I can't do wet clothes from Trunk all the way back to Havensight. I take a change of clothes, before I head out into the parking lot and hop back in a safari van I change into dry clothes in the men's locker room at Trunk Bay. Very nice getting cleaned up for the trip back to the ship. Makes for a great day.
  18. So you taking a "ship tour" to Magens Bay?🫤 If you have to concern yourself with what you're going to do with your bling and personal belongings on a "ship tour" while on Magens or Trunk Bay. You might want to consider doing something else.
  19. Trunk Bay has lockers and they're secure, but I didn't use them for that. I kept my valuables on me my watch nice one I WEAR IT IN THE OCEAN. I don't think you're going to have a problem with your personal belongings. The lockers bathrooms and showers are very visible and not a lot of people going in or out. If you're swimming on Trunk you can see everything and your not far away from your beach towel and personal belongings. Trunk I've never been there when there were so many people I had to worry about that. When you get to either Trunk or Magens take the time to walk down the beach Magens is a huge bay. The further you go down the beach the less people, you have a nice spot of your own no problems. Same with Trunk just take a walk down the beach to about 3/4 of the way down pick you out a spot get your stuff laid out no worries. There's nobody down there especially on Trunk. If you use the lockers I can't see there being a problem. It's all very open. No worries have fun at 2 awesome beaches. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  20. Your going to have another memorable time. So nice. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 That's a nice quiet itinerary, can't beat it. Have fun. Todd
  21. That's so nice. I can't think of a better beach to take children too than Eagle Beach. I don't know how many ships will be on the island when your there but that will dictate how early you want to get to the beach either way whether it's getting there a bit later or the sand with the stroller I can't imagine either issue keeping you and your family from having a great day on the beach. Easy money. Water is wonderful, white powder sand beach, nice people. Vibe is super chill. Have fun. Don't forget the review when you get back. Btw I'm not being nosey but what other islands are you visiting if you don't mind me asking? Thanks Todd
  22. About the stroller in the sand. Could be dicey but I don't know I don't think it would be too bad. The stroller really shouldn't be too much of an issue.
  23. No no no no.😎 The bus will stop at the bus stop right behind Amsterdam Manor on Eagle Beach. Right behind it is the ramp down to the sand. That's where you get off. The bus stops there, there are a few stops on the way back. Can't miss it, no worries no hurries. It's very simple and low stress and cheap great reliable transportation on the whole island. SUPER nice people. I'm a tourist and they know it. When you get off the ship your going to go left through security and out into town. Straight to your left a bit walking out to the intersection from hell. The bus station is right across the street take your time no hurries just don't get run over trying to get across the street. You'll see the ticket office just walk up tell them how many you have in your family and you want to go to Eagle Beach she'll give you the tickets point you at the bus and go find you some seats which is never a problem. Aruba and I'm going to tell you something that someone else here should have said a long time ago. Driving WEST to the resorts is ONE WAY it's a big circle the bus stop for Eagle Beach is on the way back. It's not very long I'm just saying kick back relax in the bus no worries. When you get the bus back to the port it only takes 10 minutes really less. Listen don't ever take a taxi unless you're taking an island tour or something. City transportation is great never a problem. Your taking children to Eagle Beach. OMG that's so awesome. I see families mostly Venezuelan there all the time the layout is all family and if you drink and eat on vacation Passions kills it everytime. Have fun on your vacation, your good. No worries except crossing the F😡😡🤯🤯😡😡G street to get to the bus stop. If I can help let me know. Btw that bus ride to Eagle with all the stops is never more than 20 minutes and that's chillin. Lots of locals going to work mostly nice ladies who do housekeeping in one of the resorts other than that it's just you. Have fun.
  24. I'm so glad I don't go there anymore. Magens the vibe from the time you pull in until you back get to Havensight. Other than walking down to the other end of the bay with a cooler full of beer and a couple Fatty's twisted up, everything else sucks. Somebody needs to figure it out. All chiefs no Indians, one of the nicest bays in the western hemisphere, one of the worst beach vibes EVER.
