  1. For those of you with families spending the day on Eagle Beach I thought I would mention this. As your walking down the ramp to the beach if you look to your left you'll see 2 outdoor men's and women's bathrooms very centrally located. I say that because I've been to many beaches and the restroom is down at the end of the beach around the corner to the left at the rear of some building.πŸ₯Ί Nope it's not like that, Eagle Beach bathrooms are right there, that comes in very handy when you drink on a beach like I do.😁😎😁😎 Or if you have children. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  2. I love Pink Iguanas at Iguana Joe's!!! I was just trying to keep them close to the port. Palm Beach is the place to be in the evenings it's just kind of a drive up there and back, but it's never a problem getting a taxi.
  3. I'm glad to be of help. If you have a small group like that 7. I would definitely hire a taxi van they'll take you right to Eagle Beach and pick you right up at a specified time your group wants to head back to your ship. JUST YOUR GROUP. Nice!! No worries have fun. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I'm going to check on the car seat for you, but just to be safe bringing one would be something I would keep in mind. Do not forget there are a million taxi drivers vying for your business. No worries. They'll be right there for you. Plus Eagle Beach is NOT far from your ship.
  4. That's definitely current!!! WE DID IT!!! WOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO!! That's all they needed to do. NICE menu too. Don't get me wrong I still don't trust them when it comes to beer so the first few times back to Magens ummm I'll be bringing my own beer.😁😁😁 Food menu looks great. Prices I felt looked very reasonable as well. Thanks Ms411!!!! Damn, We Done It!! This is HUGE!! I'm happy for everybody!! Thanks again!!
  5. Yes ma'am you can pay with US currency. I Love the bus. Nice peaceful cheap and very efficient. No worries. Have fun. πŸ‘ŒπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸ‘Œ
  6. I can help you out with that. When your group of 9(how nice!!) gets off your ship, your going to bottleneck out of port security to your left then go to the right into town. Your not solo like myself. If I were you I would find a minivan taxi never a problem and pay them to take you and pick you up at an agreed upon time to and from Eagle Beach. They'll be a ZILLION taxi drivers as you walk outside of security. With a group that size your own taxi van with just your family is the way to go. You can work out a very reasonable fee and time to be picked up. I'm solo for me it's very easy to take city transportation but in your case you can all go together in the same van for a very reasonable price. Nice palapas for rent at Eagle Beach. It's nice. Your group if you get there early you can rent a couple of them right beside each other. With 2 loungers, I'm not sure what they cost a palapa and 2 chairs is around $25 a day. Great deal great beach. Passions at the Beach as you go down the ramp to the beach will be on your right, I recommend you getting palapas close to Passions. Get your palapas BETWEEN Passions and the Beach not on the side, go up front get you a couple of palapas where you can see everything plus if you get thirsty or hungry Passions is right there. GREAT food I found their menu for a beach bar, incredible. Best seat on the beach. I don't know if you can rent palapas ahead of time. I've never done that I just get to the beach EARLY find me the nicest palapa, drop my backpack pay the man, and get the party started. I guess you could email Amsterdam Manor and check OR get your group together early and get to Eagle Beach. Unless there's a large number of ships in port there really shouldn't be too much of a problem renting a couple of palapas. Have a nice vacation and when you get back please don't forget to give us a review. Take care
  7. This is a routine I have stuck with on Aruba for the last 20 years. The ship (the Emerald, the Grand or the Caribbean Princess) we always disembarked late on the island. I caught the bus at Eagle Beach around 4-4:30pm went back to the ship took a shower, changed clothes went back out and had dinner and cocktails upstairs at Iguana Joe's(you can find the menu online). It's right across the street from the port. Your ship leaves at 10pm I have dinner, drinks, pay my tab around 9:45pm and walk right across the street. Security pulls the gate shut right behind me I'm the last person on the ship and off we go. I highly recommend it. Iguana Joe's Bloody Mary's are as good as the Bloody Mary's on the ship. Mojito's to die for. Great food. Go have fun. You can always have dinner on the ship and go back out and have drinks. I'm a fan of Iguana Joe's it's a fun place a crew favorite, great drinks, great bar food and GREAT location a 3-5 minute walk back to the ship. Other than a nice bar tab what's not to like.😎🌟🌟🌟🌟😎 Go have fun.
  8. Hey PORT ROYAL, Why don't you give her the information you have on Lawrence. Lawrence is always a winner. Thanks Todd
  9. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the location you are talking about. Maybe someone else here in the forum can help you. The public buses go pretty much anywhere you need to go though. Aruba has great public transportation. It's what's so nice about the island you can pretty much go anywhere you want comfortable and cheap.
  10. Hey PORT ROYAL, That link you provided mystkittstouristinfo, that's nice and current!! For anybody visiting St. Kitts including myself the link you provided is all anyone needs to have a great day on the island. Thanks Todd
  11. There are no umbrella rentals on Trunk Bay. I've never seen any. The white shade sun tents Ms411 has mentioned YES I saw those all the time, but not your typical umbrella that you see on other beaches. The little white half tents those things are SWEET. The sun on St. John is different a small sun tent to crawl into is huge. They fold up into nothing and take less that a minute or so to set up. I don't know if they rent them or not a couple from the group I went to Trunk Bay with they brought they're own. Smart!!
  12. Here's the deal I've been riding in the back of some type of taxi on St. Thomas for almost 30 years. Other than riding in the back of a safari van I travel solo and ride shotgun with alot of taxi drivers. The taxi drivers at Havensight and Crown Bay never a problem, always find me a ride, are polite, cordial and always there to help. Reliable, very fair priced transportation via taxi's on St. Thomas or St. John never a worry.
  13. That's a deal I would have taken the mini bus too for $10 a pop and they pick you up. If you happen to run into something like that and that happens alot on Aruba $10 mini bus round trip, you can't pass that up.πŸ‘ŒπŸ€œπŸ€›
  14. You figuring it out now??😜

    Beach with bar

You may have looked at the wrong pictures. There is a bar with bar stools. I travel solo I never sit at a table I sit at the bar.
  16. If 4pm is the time your ship disembarks St. Lucia 3:30 is tight and leaves little margin for any type of error. I've never done Spencer's Land and Sea Tour but I have done his Jalousie Beach Break a couple of times yep we got back around 3:30-3:45pm-ish but our ship the Emerald Princess didn't leave until 5pm. Gave us plenty of time to hit the beer garden at the pier before getting back on the ship. 4pm I would definitely have it worked out ahead of time with Spencer.
  17. In the Caribbean and on St. Thomas the key is the right cooler. I have several that will suffice but I'm still looking for the exact one I want I think I found it. There's a liquor store at the Crown Bay Marina, sells everything. There's a liquor store at Havensight, I've bought beer here many times it's the first thing I do when I get off the ship is grab a couple of brewskis and work the cobwebs out from the previous evening on the ship. If you go in town you can stop in Riise and get liquor too. No shortage of places to get something to drink whatever it may be. Nope it's not easy but it certainly beats the hell out of driving around in the back of a taxi or sitting down at the end of Magens or Trunk Bay dying of thirst with nothing to drink and a half a mile walk to get something to drink in 85 degrees heat and relentless sunshine. There are a few islands I won't go back too unless I carry some type of small cooler with me. For me I'm done worrying about where I'm going to find something to drink in the Caribbean altogether.

    Beach with bar

Eagle Beach has a wonderful beach bar Passions at the Beach. One of my favorite bars in the Southern Caribbean. Go have fun. Passions has one of the best lunches on the beach in the Caribbean. Read this, the Aruba forum, you'll figure it out. Grilled Chicken Panini Sandwich with goat cheese and seasoned fries, an all time favorite. Extensive Beer and top shelf alcohol selection. πŸ€œπŸ€›
  19. You had Cinnamon Bay all to yourself that's HUGE!! Pics are Awesome!! Thanks.
  20. AWESOME Info!!! Thank you so much. Trunk Bay was packed, I bet, it's that time of year. Especially around the holidays. This is where bringing your own beer in a softsided cooler is key. Thanks Ms411 KILLER PICS!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
