Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I have put down a deposit at Paradise Beach. Our travel agent has been multiple times and also recommends it as a good place that the kids will enjoy.
  2. I looked at Maya Key, but the excursion was sold out through the cruise and I wasn't sure about finding easy transport to their ferry. Does it appear that they look after the animals well? We have been trying to avoid the places that sell wildlife interactions/photos. Is Sol y Mar appropriate for young kids? My kids behave well, but they can definitely be hard to keep quiet at times and I would hate to be too disruptive.
  3. Thank you! I will peek around further and see what I can find. We might just end up looking around the port and maybe venture to the village for food and scope it out.
  4. My family of 5 (kids age 10, 7 and 20 months) will be in Roatan in November with Royal Caribbean and my head is spinning trying to find a place to spend the day. A beautiful beach for the kids to play and fantastic food are a must. A kayak, paddleboard or the like to play on would be great if possible. Easy transportation is a big plus and travel less than 30 minutes is ideal with young kids. I think Tabyana, Bananarama, etc are a close drive, but I would like to find somewhere that doesn't have too many vendors. Anyone been recently and know what might work for us? I was thinking maybe Big French Key through the cruise line or a company called Discover Roatan shows a few places that could work, such as Paradise Beach, Henry Morgan, Infinity Bay, etc. Thanks so much!
  5. Hi there! I am getting overwhelmed trying to find recent recommendations in Cozumel for my family in November. We need somewhere with fantastic food and a safe place for our young kids to have a great time. The kids are 10, 7 and 20 months old. Originally I was looking at Playa Mia, but the reviews and photos of the food have changed that decision. I have instead found mention of Paradise Beach, Playa Palancar, and Allegro. Anyone with recent experiences at those and or others? We are not big drinkers so places that offer a price without alcohol included would be great. Thank you so very much!
  6. Is the food better at one of those than the other in your opinion? The website for the water park still states on a popup that it is closed.
  7. Hi there! I am trying my best to plan activities for a cruise in November on Royal Caribbean and I am finding a lot of mixed information about places. Some seem to have been great in the past but are not as great as they once were recently. We will be in Costa Maya with a 10 year old, 7 year old and a 20 month old toddler. I was told by the travel agent that the ruins are the best tours at that port, but I just can't see my young kids enjoying the long drive to get there. Maya Chan is booked up for our port date unfortunately. Our travel agent suggested Pez Quadro at 40 Cañones. Is this a good place for young kids? Jaime's has space for our date, but the constant vendors sounds worrisome while trying to keep track of the kids. Would this be a good spot still? We are not big drinkers and just want some great food and a nice safe place for the kids to enjoy. Thank you so very much!
