So I don't log on to the Navica app just emed.com?
You do the test from emed.com. The results show up in the NAVICA app. Here are the steps I followed:
Go to emed.com
Choose Start testing
Choose your state, press start testing
Choose start testing
Select why testing. Choose other
Choose log into NAVICA
Log in to your NAVICA account
Choose allow to allow basic info to be shared
Answer basic questions (do you have an unopened test available, etc).
choose join guided sessionemed will test device on next screen
Click ready to start test.
You will be connected to a guide who will walk you through the process.
Your results will appear in your NAVICA app and should also be emailed to you as an attachment.
I suggest printing the results if you can - it seems to go a little faster in line with a printout vs using an electronic version of the results.

I used a tripod as well. (Note: I used an iPhone). I went to emed.com. I chose start testing. I answered the questions and then it prompts you to log into your NAVICA account. Once I logged into my account I put my phone into the tripod holder.
The process is fairly simple. The “guide/proctor” will tell you exactly what to do. I had to switch between the rear and front cameras but did not have to remove my phone from the tripod.

How do you become a prime member?
You earn 2500 casino points in one year (April 1 to March 31).

We are on the Independence of the Seas right now. No word yet on why we aren’t docked at Nassau as scheduled but we do seem to be sailing away from Nassau.

I looked at the Travel safe form for entry to San Juan. It looks like they are asking for the last 4 digits of your social security number. Does anyone know if that is a required field or if it is optional (there is no asterisk by the SSN field).

Would the proctored Binax Now tests (from eMed) work for you? You could carry them onboard and then test when you get back to port.

As long as you can carry it on your person, instead of wearing it, I am fine with it.
Yes. It’s fine if you put it on a lanyard - at least it was in September. My husband has large wrists and it really didn’t fit well.

Unless you have a drink package, you pay for drinks in specialty restaurants.
We were on Allure in late August and we were able to use our diamond drinks from our sea pass card in the specialty restaurants.

Do you know which 2 nights are formal nights?

Ok. So far, us vaccinated folks are wearing purple wristbands. Solarium pool is vaccinated only. Main pool is social distanced. A lot of happy people & crew!! Good Caribbean band by pool!
Thanks so much for the update! Have a wonderful cruise.

Me too. What date is your cruise?
Ours cruise is Aug.22, 2021. We're traveling with another couple and they are seeing the same thing that we are.

Same for us. Our other cruises show up - but Allure for August is not available in the app. I can access planning online though.

We were on Rhapsody in December, 2019. We had a wonderful time and met some really great people. One thing to be aware of is that the casino is small. There were a lot of gamblers on the ship (including us) so we had some waiting for a seat at a table or for a slot machine. We still had fun in the casino and won a little bit 🙂.

As someone said earlier, the waiters do a great job helping the kids get something they like to eat.
On our first cruise we traveled with 4 to a room. It's a pretty tight fit - even the closets are a problem with 4 people. I recommend 2 connecting cabins. You can keep the door open to watch the kids.

We are big fans of the Caribe Hilton. You will need to take an Uber or a taxi to the port, but the hotel is great.

I called today and was told 30 days.

The map shows the Rotterdam heading to port Everglades and the Zaandam heading to CL SAI. Where is that?
CL SAI Is port of San Antonio

We cruised out of San Juan last week. We were asked if we had traveled in China or had contact with anyone who had traveled through China in the last 14 days. We also had expedited boarding.

We went to the Marriott St. Kitts and paid for a day pass. We had use of their pool and beach. They provided towels. Food was available at the on site restaurant (but was an additional charge). We enjoyed it!

TRYING TO DECIDE TO DO THE EMED/NAVICA TEST AT HOME - NEED HELP
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted · Edited by suzk2275a
Yes. 2 tests for 2 people. You may want to get spare tests. I had a problem with one test (the liquid reactant used for the test was dried up).
the rear facing camera was used to read the QR code on the box as well as to read the test results at the end of the test. The front facing camera is used for the proctor to see you and to watch the test during the 15 minute waiting time.
