  1. Is the afternoon tea still included in your ticket or have they started charging extra?

It's included except for 1 special tea (I think it is called Royal tea). On our 1 week cruise it was offered one afternoon in the centrium area (not sure if that's the right name). There were multiple teas offered vs. just one offering. I think it was $10 without Champagne and $20 per person if you want champagne included. There is a free afternoon tea offered in one of the dining rooms that is great.

  2. Option 1: Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize City, and Cozumel -

Grand Cayman has stingray city that is fun but it is a tender port; Roatan has great snorkeling and great beaches (we took a ship's tour), Belize has cave tubing that is fun (we did an independent tour) BUT it is a tender port and we've been on 1 cruise that skipped that port because of rough water; Cozumel has some nice beaches - we have done it multiple times on our own using taxis.

Option 2: Princess Cays, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel -

We enjoyed Princess Cay (it is tender) but there was plenty to do there; Ocho Rios is a port that you will be approached by somewhat aggressive panhandlers and people selling things. It's not my favorite port but if you do go there and you want exercise, go to Dunn's River Falls; See above for Grand Caymen and Cozumel.

  3. The wait staff offer tea (it's pre-made - you do not have your choice of teas unless you go to the High Tea which is offered once per cruise for a fee). They have trays of small sandwiches that they bring by. Then they offer a variety of pastries - my favorite is the scone with clotted cream. We enjoyed it.

  4. To arrange for the royal tea (aka high tea) go to the bar in the piazza area. They will add your name to the list and scan your card. On our last cruise on the Regal it was offered one time during the 7 day cruise. The day before the high tea princess should call your cabin to confirm the reservation. I think it is $10 per person without champagne-$20 if you want to include champagne.

There is also a daily free tea in one of the main dining rooms.

  5. We sail Sunday and still did not have a room assignment as of this morning. I just checked now and we've been assigned a cabin.

Brilliance March 02nd. Anyone else have a Guarantee booking and still awaiting a room assignment, the cruise has been showing sold out for sometime now ......

Not like me but getting a little nervous now.

  6. Thanks for your response. I'll keep checking.

I've never gotten an email. I check pretty regularly. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure they'll let you know when you check in at the port. :D

We booked an X for our next cruise, got the cabin issued, and rebooked to take advantage of some savings. I looked this morning and didn't have a cabin assignment, then I was looking at something else on our reservation a few minutes ago and now we have a room assignment. (Same one we had before so: WIN!!) I did not get an email for the new assignment.

  7. I know that we may not hear about our cabin assignment until we board the ship. I am wondering how will we be notified in the event the cabin is issued before our cruise. Our documentation has already been issued. Will we get an email or do I need to keep checking back on the Royal Caribbean site.

    Thanks,

    Susan
