Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. This webinar to travel agents from Riverside confirms at 33:00 minutes that the ships leased to Uniworld will be returning to Riverside in 2026 and 2027. It is interesting that Uniworld will be establishing a new route and then giving it up.
  2. I found this new review of a trip on the Ravel: https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/first-impressions-of-riverside-luxury-cruises-just-back-from-riverside-ravel
  3. The Ravel started sailing between Lyon and Avignon France in August so has had a couple of months of travel. I have been trying to get info from Riverside on the excursions they offer without any luck. Their web site lists excursions for the routes for the Mozart and Debussy but no info for Ravel.
  4. Uniworld is now leasing two of the Crystal ships from Riverside Luxury Cruises. This is confusing. Riverside bought the 5 Crystal ships and said they would be bringing them in to service. Then we heard that Transcend is using the old Crystal Mahler in 2024. Now we hear that Uniworld will be running the Mahler in 2025 as the S.S. Elizabeth. This is a 3-year lease so the ship may go back to Riverside. https://www.travelweekly.com/River-Cruising/Uniworld-charter-two-former-Crystal-river-ships
  5. I am looking at Riverside Luxury Cruises for a river trip next year on the Ravel. They are a new cruise line and there are very few reviews or feedback on what they were like. Almost everything I have seen has been about the Riverside Mozart which is a very different ship. Is there anyone here who has had experience with the Riverside Ravel? How was the ship and the excursions they offered? Thanks
  6. What does this mean for Riverside Luxury Cruises who acquired the Crystal ships. They have launched the Mozart and Ravel and were set to launch the Bach next year. Does them now leasing the Bach to Uniworld mean they are having problems? I had been planning to book a trip with Riverside next year.
