Our first MSC cruise will be this October. I filled out the form for the Voyagers Club status match yesterday and just noticed on my profile that we are listed as Black (matched Platinum from NCL). Will we be able to take advantage of the benefits on our October Divina cruise? Thanks.

We would really like to try MSC, but the air prices to MIA or FLL are ridiculous from Nashville or Knoxville.
Any suggestions?
Have you tried Allegiant Air from Knoxville to Ft. Lauderdale? They are usually pretty cheap flights.

We were just on the Getaway and were able to order virgin drinks with our ultimate beverage card. The kids also had soda cards and were able to order for no charge with their soda cards.
-
Happy to report the kid's area is still open. There were many happy toddlers enjoying the area with SpongeBob and friends. Enjoy your cruise!
-
We are sailing on the Getaway again tomorrow, I will check to make sure the kids water park is still open and let you know before you leave. We loved the Getaway!
-
We sailed on 10/10 and the kids area was closed the first day, but opened up on day 2 and remained open the rest of the week. The little kids loved it!

Thank you XLXO & Martincath for all the very useful information. We will read through everything and pick out the highlights. We will definitely watch the weather reports before the trip to Whistler. We are from S Fla. and have no desire to drive on icy roads:eek:.
-
From downtown Vancouver plan that it is a full 2 hours in either direction and there are places that you may care to pull off and enjoy the scenery. There is a lot to see and do in Whistler so I would be planning on a full day.
Thanks, that's just what I needed to know. We will plan on a full day. Will probably have more questions before May:)

We are taking a Alaskan cruise departing Vancouver on 5/5 and will arrive in Vancouver a few days earlier. We will have a rental car and are planning to drive to Whistler Village. How much time should we plan for this trip? Half day or full day? Thanks.

We sailed on the Eurodam on 3/29. There were a lot more kids onboard than we had ever seen on a Dam ship, however they really did not cause any problems. We did not notice any extra activities for the spring breakers.

We sailed on Carnival Conquest out of Miami after a music charter cruise. We arrived at the port about 10:30 and did not board until 1:30. The delay was getting all the extra sound equipment off the ship (at least, that's what we were told). Maybe Norwegian will be more efficient as the Pearl does lots of charter cruises.
-
This is our first time on the Eurodam. We have sailed in aft balconies before on other lines and love them. They do appear to be larger than the regular balconies on the Eurodam.
-
We are on deck 5, also hoping for another upsell offer to a suite, but very happy with the cabin we have. We started with an inside, got an upsell to a oceanview, and then another upsell 6 days ago to the aft balcony. Would love to get an aft wraparound, but don't see that being in my budget.
-
What deck are you on? We may be neighbors:D
-
We are also sailing on Eurodam, 3/29 and have received 2 upsell offers.
This is our 4th cruise with HAL and have received upsell offers with each cruise.
Keep checking your e-mail, hopefully you will get a nice offer. There seems to still be lots of vacant staterooms.

We have sailed on the Allure once and the Epic twice. We would definitely choose the Epic over Allure. We enjoyed the entertainment and overall feel of the Epic much better than the Allure. We had a great cruise on the Allure, but just prefer NCL over RC.
-
Both times we sailed the Epic, we arrived at the port between 10 and 10:30. Both times we boarded about 11:30. We were in regular balcony staterooms. We always get to the port early and out of 25 cruises have only had delays in boarding twice.

Thanks, Suzannety. That's what I was hoping to hear. You can return to the US without a passport with little or no issue.

I got the cards along with passports when I renewed. My concern with using them if we must fly home on case of an problem how can we do it with no passport?

This is one of our concerns too, but I can't see the US not allowing minor children to fly back with their parents if there is an emergency. When you hear about cruise ships that had mechanical issues and ended up flying passengers back home, I am sure not everyone had a passport and were allowed to return to the US.
-
The 4 kids need their passports renewed before our fall cruise. It's much cheaper to get the passport cards. Would like opinions on the difference and if we should go with the passport card. Wouldn't be so bad if child passports lasted 10 years like the adult passport, but renewing them every 5 years is expensive.

Thanks everyone. We really like the 14 day Statendam itinerary. Hope it doesn't change in 2016.
-
Does anyone know when HAL will post their Alaska itineraries for 2016?
Also, since the Statendam is leaving HAL, do you think they will still offer the 14 day Roundtrip from Seattle itinerary? If so, what ship might be taking its place?
Thanks

We had stateroom 11311 - it had a very large balcony. Our room steward brought us 2 loungers, plus we had the 2 regular chairs and a small table and still had room to move around.

Thanks everyone, I will check into purchasing onboard credit.
Voyagers Club Benefits Question

Thanks Pete. It is showing Level Black in my profile where it was showing welcome before, so hopefully there will be no problems.
Also, been lurking this forum for a while. Your helpful information on cabins helped us select our 4 cabins for our family cruise in October. With the awesome buy one, get one free & kids sail free promotions, we decided to give MSC a try. If we enjoy MSC, we will book the Seaside for 2017.
Thanks again.
