    Hi fellow hal cruisers.

Going on the volendam to Alaska from vancouver in june, 2020 for our first time. Have booked a package with cruise and land content with "cosmos".

Just wondering if we can pay for our cruise grats prior to sailing or do we have to get them loaded onboard??.

    Thanks Bob

I was able to pre-pay our hotel service charge last week for our 10 day Koningsdam cruise in November.

  2. We booked a last minute guarantee in March and paid in full at time of booking for an early April cruise.  A week later, the price dropped on a category with perks.  It was only 100.00 more than our sail away rate.  My TA called and was able to upgrade us and we received two perks.  We were also able to use 2 cruise next certificates.   We have upgraded several times after final payment when we had to pay a little more and have always received the current perks.  I would have your TA call and try, my TA has never had any problems.

  3. I also received that letter. It is more disturbing to me that a stranger now has my name, address, birthdate and passport number. With all the identity theft occurring, MSC has caused an inexcusable breach of my privacy.

  4. We need to be off early to get a rental car to Port Canaveral for another cruise. I know poor us. What time did you get in the line? Were you able to have breakfast before getting in line?

    Thanks,

    Tony

We got up at 6AM, had breakfast in the Marketplace Buffet, went back to our room to get our luggage and walked right off the ship at 7AM, there was no line. Some passengers had already left as we met up with them at Customs. The whole process took 10 minutes from ship to curbside. Fastest disembarkation ever. It's only about a 3 hour drive to Port Canaveral so you should make it in plenty of time.

  5. Someone will be picking us up in Miami after our Seaside cruise. Do Black Card members have priority disembarkation? If so what is the process, do you chose the time you want to disembark? Just want an approximate pick-up time to give for our driver. In addition, is there a lot where someone can wait for passengers in case disembarkation is running late? Thanks.

  6. Thanks for all the input!

I know for sure there is no lifeboat directly in front of our cove, not sure about The galley.

Only 7 more months until I can put on a cove review

The cove balconies without life boats above them have vents that blow into the balconies. We had 2309 on the Magic in December and the incinerator smell was so noxious the balcony was unusable. Google your cabin number to see if any comments have been made about the smells.

  7. Just booked through MSC yesterday. Have the drink package and upgraded to the Classic package. The upgrade does show on our paperwork but I can't find it on the website. Is there a place where I should be able to see the upgrade to classic on the web?

I can see my drink package upgrade when I go to my booking. I click on price detail, then click on the down arrow. It shows my stateroom experience and then the upgrade information.

  8. I am sailing the Carnival Glory this coming September in cabin number 6322.....My main concern is what everyone else is talking about....can you tell me if my cabin 6322 in above the casino, or near to the band that plays there....I am on the Upper Deck #6...

Would appreciate an answer back....asap...you can mail to me catfin7atgmaildotcom...

Not sure where the band is, but you are definitely over the casino. We booked a last minute cruise on the Carnival Glory several years ago, all of us choosing inside guarantee, which was all that was left. We all ended up on deck 6, our cabin was right above the disco with loud thumping music until 3 am each morning. Our friends ended up over the casino and their cabin always smelled like cigarette smoke. They also complained of a little noise. That was the last guarantee cabin we ever booked. We always choose our cabins now, making sure we have cabins above and below. If I were you, I would try and change my cabin.

  9. We are sailing the Seaside on 4-28-18. Booked the cheapest guarantee inside Bella experience and when I went out on the MSC web check in a few days later we had been upgraded to a balcony stateroom. Still a Bella but great upgrade. This is our 2nd MSC cruise-1st a year ago on the Divina.

Awesome! Now we are wondering if we should have booked an inside! Actually, we decided to see if we could change our assignment from all the way forward. We called and they changed us to a mid ship balcony with plexiglass instead of the forward steel balcony with no problem. Very happy with their customer service so far, a big difference from our first experience with them 2 years ago.

  10. We booked Bella (interior and oceanview) in our last 2 cruises (MSC Preziosa and MSC Seaside) and got upgraded to a Fantastica balcony cabin (Deck 9 and Deck 12) after full payment. These were our #2 and #3 cruise with MSC. Voyager Classic Member. We booked about over 90 days before sailing.

Wow, more great upgrades. Our assignment is a bella balcony on deck 11, all the way forward. Not a cabin I would have chosen, but just happy to be going on another cruise!

  11. This will be our first time on MSC. We booked two weeks ago for this June 9th on Seaside. Due to its close-to-date sailing we were offered only a GTY of our category choice, so we felt an Ocean View with the Bella experience was a good happy medium with its very good price point. 3 days later (a week ago) we were assigned a deck 14 mid ship BALCONY in their "fantastica" location. Our confirmation does say "Bella OV GTY" but our location makes us very happy indeed!!!!!

Congrats, that's a great upgrade! Just checked our booking this morning, and we got our assignment, just booked 3 days ago.

  12. We booked Fantastica Balcony through our TA but could only get guarantee. We were assigned a cabin for 1 of our B2B cruises before we paid in full and about 5 months out. Just a Fantastica Balcony midships close to the lift lobby, not what we would have chosen as we don't like crowds. Got TA to try to get it changed but no response yet from MSC inventory section, it's been a month. In the T&C for guarantee they say 'no cabin changes allowed'. Our cruise had nothing available on any websites but we did see they had some aft still available so trying to get one of those.

Sent from my SM-A320Y using Forums mobile app

Good luck getting the change in staterooms. 2 responses and 2 different results, seems as if MSC is still not consistent with their policies. Oh well, we are just happy to be cruising, so will be satisfied with whatever cabin we end up in.

When you have B2B cruises, will you be able to stay in the same cabin for both cruises or will you have to change cabins?

  13. The one time I booked Bella guarantee we were assigned a fantastica balcony so we were pretty happy. We were assigned within a month of booking it. Also, if you aren’t happy with it you can call in and move if there’s any available (and keep calling till there is).

Thanks! Good to know we can request a change if not happy with our cabin.

  14. We have only sailed once with MSC on Divina with Fantastica experience and were able to chose our cabin location. We just booked Seaside for September and chose Bella which only offers guarantee cabins. When are guarantees usually assigned with MSC? Also for anyone who has booked a guarantee on Seaside, how happy were you with your assignment? Thanks.
