Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We are about to experience retreat cabana life for the first time beginning next Saturday. We are on a 35 day Hawaii-South Pacific cruise. I made sure my wife took extra shifts at the laundromat to pay for it 😛 I will report back on our experience. I hope we don't run into what @OlsSalt experienced on the Koningsdam. I don't expect many kids on this cruise, but who knows. I love kids ... let me rephrase that ... I love well supervised kids by their parents/guardians.
  2. Since I subscribed to your YouTube channel, it showed up this morning in my YouTube feed. I watched it during my morning workout on the recumbent bike. Made the time go by quickly. Tailor on board! Makes sense. Thanks for posting.
  3. Thanks for taking us along. I will be boarding with @BermudaBound2014 , well not together exactly, when you return. Hopefully, depending on my boarding time we can exchange high fives as we embark and you disembark. Look for the guy whose wife keeps saying, "Calm Down" to him as he is so excited to be boarding the ship at long last. It will be our first cruise since covid. DW and I are staying across the street at the Wyndham Bayside so should be pretty easy for us to board. Since we are not 4 or 5s and since we are not in a suite or Club Orange, it looks like the fun Disneylike Queue for us. I look forward to your future posts. Have a great cruise.
  4. We have done the Pacific Surfliner a couple of times. Both times, on time. Not a terribly long hike from the train station to the pier. A mile? I agree. Take an earlier train as HAL site says to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to departure as that is when passenger list needs to be sent to proper authorities.
  5. Trudy and I have a Vista Suite booked on the Koningsdam in February so we are very appreciative of your pictures and descriptions of the room. Tell HuskerChick that we are doing our best here with the Huskers, but boy, it's been a challenge. Richard
  6. Watched a special last night prior to the 49er-Ravens game. It was the 12 most popular Christmas movies. Miracle on 34th Street was number two. It's Wonderful Life #1. A Christmas Story #3. Elf #4 and White Christmas #5. I think that was the correct order. Others on the list included A Christmas Carol, Scrooge, The Grinch, Christmas Vacation and Home Alone ... Die Hard was not on the list for all those who insist it is a Christmas movie. My son was greatly disappointed that Bruce Willis did not make it. Enjoying all your reports. Enjoy the spa life today, but don't forget your steps!
