I am not sure who to thank, but whoever found out that the cruise appreciation was included in the price of the cruise in Australia and New Zealand you just saved us $1800. We called our Travel Agent and Princess and it was correct that the cruise appreciation is included in the cost of the cruise and that Princess Plus does not cover that amount for the tips. Not sure why no one told us this when we first booked with Princess before we moved it over to our travel agent, but hopefully it was just an error on Princesses part. So, now we are very happy and Thanks to someone out there. We had only booked plus since we were to pay the tips, but without this we do not need to have plus since our drinking and eating are not worth $1800 for 13 days.

Thanks for letting me know. That is what I will do. I plan to use the concierge suite a lot more this time than on other cruises. I did not know how much they could do for you. We never went to the happy hour until the last cruise. Now, I will be prepared to use them more. So, how much later did they let you do the dinner and did you have to go to Guest Services or just go to the restaurant and they knew what was going on. Thank you.

We get the first night dinner in a paid restaurant included in our cruise and would like to change it to another night without cost to us. Any one done this before and how did you do it. We just want to do the sail away on the deck and not have to get ready for dinner at a specific time the first night. But, we do not want to be charged if we go a different night.

Thanks, its s a good idea and I will ask when we get on board. Really just want the extra internet, so we will just purchase it if we need to. Although I can eat the ice cream sundaes, even tho others think they are way to big, I have no problem finishing at least half of the one I had, and I am sure I could have finished it all if I hadn't had a good lunch at Senior Frogs. Oh well.

My husband and myself both have plus on our upcoming cruise. Just curious if anyone has tried to upgrade to Premiere once onboard and if so do both people have to upgrade. We both would not want to, just one of us. Thank you, and so sorry to hear about the Ruby, we have been on her many times and really enjoyed our trips.

I guess I am confused but we signed up for Plus and it says it includes gratuity for our Australia/New Zealand trip. Am I missing something?

We ask to shake hands with the people we want to give an additional tip and have a bill in the palm of our hands as we leave the ship or before late in the cruise. On the last day, or the day before we do the additional tipping if we don't think we will see them on the last day as we are leaving. The staff seem to understand the palmed money and we have never had to hand it to the folks in front of others. Money always moves to the pocket of the person who deserves it.

Just wondering if any update has been seen on removing the Covid testing before boarding the ship in Sydney Australia?

Any guess when Princess will release Trans Atlantic cruises for fall of 2024. It is our 55th anniversary and we want to book a room early to get the aft suite we want.

I send everything to the laundry and never have had any trouble. Our clothes come back clean and bright and nicely folded or on hangers. Never a broken button or anything with shrinking since we have to make sure stuff fits for the entire cruise..

We did the 28 day Trans Atlantic from Rome to Florida with only 2 small carry ons and 2 totes. We had no problem getting off the airplane and unto the ship taking our own luggage onboard. That is the way we always travel no matter how long the cruise. Did the same for a 32 day cruise and couple days before to South America, Nice to not have to struggle with heavy bags.

and if you like a lot of fruit you can get the fruit basket refilled I think. We always eat the grapes and strawberries but normally leave most of the other fruit. But, it is all great quality and we sometimes will have a piece for lunch. I agree, we only sail on suites now unless it is a family event. I know it costs more, but the benefits are worth it to us. Only have so many more years to cruise, so we are paying to play.

If you order dinner from the dining room to eat in the suite make sure you ask for EVERYTHING you want. We ordered the meal, it was lovely, but did not order rolls or butter so these were not included. I can't say it was wrong, just did not think about it, so now we know we need to order anything we plan to enjoy. If you want coffee, make sure you ask for cream or milk or half and half if you want and sugar. Our food was hot, but as others have said you get everything at once, and it was a bit overwhelming to see so much stuff come at one time. But, we really enjoyed it,

What a nice way to send off a loved one. We did the same on a private ship off Oregon Coast, but without the captain speaking and the paperwork. Wish we had known this. Our parents traveled a LOT on Princess and would have approved of this.

Does anyone know what exercise classes are included in Plus. Are the classes worth going to and are they basic or do you have to be in excellent shape to even join in..

This may have been asked before but we have not used ez-air before and we are just a bit confused. We have a flight from Sydney to SFO and ez-air set us up at 11:30 in the morning we leave the ship. That is great if we can make it, and of course we hope and expect to. But, in the event that the ship is late getting into Sydney what happen to ez-air. Do they put us in a hotel, send us home on another flight, or, and do they keep the same seat style, -ie-premium coach, coach or business class that we now have paid for? Just curious. We have paid for Princess transfer from the ship, but plan to jump into a cab as soon as the docking allows as we do carry off and would only use the transfer as plan b. Any info would be appreciated.

Please help with any information. I have seen on cruise critic folks getting AARP gift cards at 10% discount and since our cruise is over $25,000 including e-z air we are thinking that these may be a good thing. We are AARP members but can not locate anyplace to get the cards. Any help will be appreciated.

Just got off the Discovery a few weeks ago and my husband went Hawaiian formal on formal night. Just cargo pants and Hawaiian shirt. Yes, we were in Mexico but formal night was very much not formal and we were in Club Class so looks like a lot less formal than before. Some folks were formal, but it was not necessary.

So sorry, yes, I meant 2024. Gee, that seems so far away but so close. We have checked the internet and it seems like this may still be in place. Wish we knew for sure, I know it is far off, but hard to make other plans if this is a viable trip as it is our first choice, but not if we still have this condition. Thank you.

We just signed up to go to Australia in March 2023 on the Majestic Princess. Just got a message from Princess that we have to have a negative covid test one day before boarding the ship. That means that we will be in Australia for 3 days before we find out if we are able to get on the ship, and also 14 days before we could fly back home as we are using Easy Air for transport. As the air cost twice as much as the cruise this does not really seem viable. Does anyone know if Australia is thinking of changing this requirement in the near or far future as it will not be something we will be able to deal with in the current condition and we would really like to go to Australia. Thank you.

Does anyone know what kind of exercise classes are included in the premium package. Can I take the classes for free since I purchased the premium package before the price increase?

My husband and I will be traveling after our cruise and I was wondering if anyone knows the last time I can get laundry done and returned before we get off the ship. It is a 7 day cruise on the Discovery and we are in a suite, not sure if that makes a difference. We leave on a Saturday. I know I can use the self service, but prefer not to if I don't have too.

Yes. Thanks for letting me know. We do have an Aft Suite with the big deck, We had one on a transatlantic and loved it. I just wondered about the owners suite since they have sent us at least 2 emails to bid on it. Hope someone else takes it, we are staying where we are, thanks for all the response especially about the noise. We would not be happy with that.

Quick question. We just received a notice that we can bid for the Owners suite on the Discovery Princess. We are in an Aft suite so I wondered what the difference is between the Owners suite and the regular Aft suite. Also available is the Sky Suite, but oh, the price they want for that.
