  1. And that surprises you? That's when you should plan to go. Going where the crowds aren't is Cruising 101.
  2. For sure. Which is why, forever onward, I will always remember your advice when in high seas.
  3. Thank you. I'm off to read the contract I signed over a year ago. I'll let you know if I'm concerned.
  4. I've noticed that being a thing, but has anyone posted the actual wording of the old contract and alleged "new version"? I haven't read every single post. I may have missed it. Post# please?
  5. That's a bit extreme. 😀 But from our standpoint, my wife and I don't spend $1000's to dine with strangers. We'll meet them in the bar, and move on if we don't want to spend 2-hours with them. To each their own.
  6. I agree, but this quote from the OP makes it quite clear: "On boarding we went straight to the desk and asked why. We were told that our new cabin was larger and therefore an upgrade" It's obvious what they did wrong. Research your cabin all you want, but also understand the terms you are accepting when you book. I don't recall if "No Upgrade" was the default, or if I had to click it when I booked, but in either case, you need to pay attention to what you're signing up for.
  7. I have not seen where Florin has stated whether or not they chose "No Upgrade". That's the deal, right? If you sign on for an upgrade, you get what you get, whether you think it's an upgrade or not. What am I missing?
  8. That is the silliest, and most fascinating, thing I've read about motion. Hmmm.
  9. Loop closed. I think I made it quite obvious that I do not determine the definition. 😉
  10. All good, friend, all good. I only have 90 things to do, so you got me there. On the other hand, I already know the definition of "significant", so there is that. 🙃
  11. Of course not, because that's too hard. I'll let others explain what "significant" means. I obviously cannot.
  12. As stated previously, sort of, if you are in bed with no view of the outside, you will have no idea which direction is forward or aft. You will feel left to right (the roll) sometimes more intense, sometimes none at all. This is soothing to most on a cruise. For us, the wristbands are awesome and work just fine if we are in "rough" seas as high as 20+ foot waves.
  13. You can google the definition yourself.
  14. Not in the specialty restaurants. This is the first significant change since the restart in 2021. In case you're counting, that's over 3-years.
  15. I don't know. It's a phenomenal show. But, when you've seen it 137 times, it's time for something new.
  16. They work, but yes, if you are 6' tall you will need to pull and hold the curly-cord as tight as possible, and still bend over slightly.
  17. I know it's hard, but try to follow along. We're talking about stale smoke smell in furniture, walls, carpets, etc. It's not 2nd hand smoke. That's long gone. Now we're talking about the chemicals in the deodorizers. But thanks for playing.
  18. It is what it is. Last August, we didn't pay an extra dime the moment we left Seattle. That included Juneau, Skagway, Sitka, Victoria. Today may be completely different.
  19. That is annoying. But seriously, you can do better.
  20. I am a smoker, and I can assure you that if there was no place for the 10% of us, there would be a problem. If a ship can have a designated smoking area, it can have a priest. Just sayin', it's a stretch, but I'm sticking with it.
  21. Again, you confuse words. Judgmental? That's laughable on its face. Interested? Absolutely. You make it easy by simply saying that trying anything is too hard.
  22. I think you should get details from her. She would know why her clients were rejected. Right? I've cruised Carnival, Royal, NCL, and Holland. No issues. If you have a US passport, you're good to go.
  23. I would take that. But, I'll never make Ambassador. I was impressed with the near perfect toenail polish match! 🤣
  24. We aren't on the same page, or even speaking the same language here. Street stands, absolutely, in any country! Ever been to a Christmas market in Europe? Walked the streets of Amsterdam and sat for some quick pannekoeken or poffertjes? A two-hour meal in France, or a "proper" Italian dinner? No need for that. How about coffee and croissants or a quick dish of cacio e pepe? You are making eating in port way too difficult.
  25. My post was a bit of joke, obviously. But seriously, if my daughter gets physically sick from the smell of lavender deodorizer, used to eliminate the stale smell of smoke, why are you more important than her?
