OK. If my excursion ends are 8:30 & I get back on board at about 8:45 is there another way to get dinner? (Grand Princess)

I have made all dinner reservations except one. The latest available reservation is 8:20 PM. Our excursion does not return to the ship until 8:30 so we were looking for a 9PM dinner. Ideas? Also, are breakfast and lunch just walkup service?

I am sailing July 3, I think that is current policy still.

Why are people having to make reservations in order to have a meal? Why can't people just go to the buffet or MDR and get seated?

It IS listed for the Land portion. That part was clear. I was speaking only of the on ship portion. The way they are pushing all of the premium dining options almost made it seem like you had to choose one of those or starve.

Yes. That is what our Itinerary indicates. In addition, some of the excursions include lunch.

So I am very confused. I have not cruised in about 12 years (2012). I have a Princess Cruisetour to Alaska booked. Are meals still included in the booking? I know you can pay extra for Premium dining but are basic no frills meal still included in the basic booking?
