  1. 🤣😷Please excuse the first emoji; it was an accident and I can't delete it for some reason. I wonder if the Icon class and Oasis class ships have larger morgues?
  2. Please don't hate me for saying this, but the prices for drink packages on RCCL are crazy high, in my opinion. I sailed on a MSC Cruises ship out of NYC recently and their mid-level drink package was $20 per day/per person. I know that most people wouldn't jump to another cruise line just for the cheap drink package, but I wanted to give you another point of reference as you consider the "sale" price of RCCL's drink packages.
  3. I hope that you put this person in your survey! That employee needs retraining or reassignment!
  4. As with many topics on this website, people love to share their OPINIONS, but attempt to disguise them as facts. Absent someone finding and posting a policy document from Royal Caribbean, I'd take everything that you read on this topic to be opinions. On the subject of opinions, my opinion is that children are customers too, and should be treated with equal respect as an adult. Most parents are taking their kids on a cruise to spend time with them. Let them do it however they want, until it actually interferes with your enjoyment. If it does, get up and find another area of the ship to enjoy. More opinion...If you walk into a bar and see a child seated with their parent/guardian, find another seat, or another bar. The child doesn't need to be drinking a mocktail or soda to legitimize their seat. What legitimizes them occupying a seat is the fact that they are a paying passenger just like you! It's no different than an adult passenger that enjoys the bar scene but doesn't choose to purchase a drink. They earned the privilege of sitting in any bar, anywhere when they paid their cruise fare!
  5. I'm curious, what did you and your friends decide to do? Did you have a great time? I sure hope so!!!
  6. Wow, you plan on revisiting your wife next year. That's an interesting marriage! 🤣
  7. You've given me a new goal in life! Now I just have to convince my wife to cruise that often. I have time... I'll hone my negotiating skills 😀
  8. I didn't sign an NDA, so I can tell you everything that I know about it: Nothing, I know nothing... 😂
  9. Not to be rude, but how? Are you retired? How much vacation time do you get per year if you aren't? I'd love to cruise that much!!!
  10. You're right! I was on that cruise, on the Enchantment in late March of 2022. She was sailing well below capacity. The island was perfect! I felt spoiled having an abundance of chairs, pool was relatively empty, no lines for anything, etc. It really did feel like a PERFECT day at Coco Cay! I didn't really have a frame of reference though because it was my first and only time to the island. I'd love to go back!!
  11. My travel agent sent those luggage tag holders to me for free when I booked my cruise with her. That, and she printed out all of my cruise documents and mailed them to me, in the same package. It was so nice to have one less step to accomplish before my cruise! I'm a customer for life now 😀
  12. The ship was late to Florida due to weather. Then it was late to Nassau due to a Medevac at 2:30 AM.
  13. As of last month, the soft drinks on the Meraviglia were: Coke, Diet Coke, Dr Pepper, Ginger Age (Canada Dry, I believe), Sprite and Orange soda (forget the brand). They didn't have the drink that you mentioned, sorry. You probably could get the bartenders to make you something similar though, with carbonated water and lemon juice mix.
  14. Frozen non-alcoholic daiquiris are included, but I assume that's what you meant; I was just clarifying. Also included are most coffee drinks and can/fountain sodas. I think that energy drinks, fresh squeezed orange juice, fruit and protein drinks are included as well.
  15. I had a deep balcony on the Meraviglia and it was not dark in the room at all. You have nothing to worry about! Plus, if yours is like mine, they have a light for the balcony that you can turn on. I never needed it, but it's an option. If anything, you'll love it like I did. I've never had such a huge balcony to relax on. It was so nice to not feel cramped when sitting on my balcony!
  16. Thank you for the replies everyone! I understand now. I have always been fortunate enough to live within 1-5 hours of the port I sailed out of (except my honeymoon cruise a LONG time ago). It limits my destination ports, but I never have to worry about catching a flight.
  17. The freshly squeezed orange juice is amazing! I drank so much of that juice on my last cruise! I wasn't honestly expecting it to taste so delicious, but it is totally unique in flavor compared to store bought "fresh orange juice!" It is included in the Easy Plus package in the US.
  18. Yes. They were plastic, but made to look like Bamboo wicker/rattan furniture. They were sturdy though, not cheap plastic.
  19. Question for those of you who try to leave early: Why? I'm not trying to be confrontational!! I actually appreciate it! As someone who stays on the ship until the rush is over, I can then casually stroll off the ship with little to no line. Is it to get back home to save your vacation days? I've always wondered why people rush off at disembarkation. Thanks!
  20. The Meraviglia has the Bamboo Bar, which is next to the indoor Bamboo Pool. The fresh fruit and vegetable drinks are so amazing!
  21. If you're willing to look outside of NCL, I highly recommend you checking out MSC Cruises. I recently got off the Meraviglia, and had a fabulous time. The cruise reminded me of my first cruise 20+ years ago. The ship was only ~ seven years old, but the set dinner time, copious entertainment and fun activities were closer to what I remember from a couple decades ago. MSC isn't for everyone, but my wife and I truly enjoyed our cruise!
  22. I won't miss it! We walked out after the first dance number, when they dimmed the lights. The women were virtually dressed in lingerie; I didn't need to see that! I felt extremely uncomfortable sitting next to my wife while other women were dancing on the stage in outfits she wouldn't wear outside of the bedroom! I ended up staring at my lap until I could escape.
  23. My family ate at the American Diner multiple times. The food was excellent (especially the chocolate mousse), the service was excellent, and the fact that it's open air was nice, when the weather cooperated. I think that was the limiting factor; people didn't want to eat semi-outdoors when it's too cold or too hot. To each their own, more seating for me next time, assuming it's still there.
