  1. Priceline was doing nothing for me on this day as I bid up to $80 and got nothing....this came up on Hotwire.

    95% liked the hotel.

     

    Real good deal for this one night stay. Hotel web site has rooms at $199 for this night. Reviews are great for this hotel.

  2. Just got the Red Lion Hotel on Fifth Avenue Seattle for Saturday May 10, 2008, one night pre-cruise for a $74 bid.

     

    Started with Downtown Seattle, 3 and 4 star, bid $54, rejected.

    Added Lynwood, $64, rejected

    Added Bothel, $74, accepted.

     

    $28.50 in fees and taxes all in, $92.50.

     

    Lowest rate at Red Lion site, $209 plus taxes.

    Lowest rate at hotels.com, $194.50 plus taxes.

    Started at 3* and $64. Multiple free rebids later I hit at $90. Lowest rate at the Marriott site was $184 a night for these dates.

     

    Spending 2 days in Seattle prior to taking Amtrak to Vancouver for a Princess coastal cruise to San Francisco. Planes, trains and ships! :p
