Very recent passport turnaround time was about two weeks without the express service. :D When doing online check in they did ask for passport numbers.

Booked through my favorite T/A. I will await the email. Just wondered the tag RCCL/Celebrity & Carnival. Hope they are similar in size to one or the other . Thanks Mike :D

Did my online "stuff" for our October Divina cruise. (1st MSC Cruise) I didn't see anything about luggage tags. Can I print them online or do they mail them. Did I miss something ? :D

Sailed Allure in April. Liked the ship and didn't feel crowded. Food was good.
Have sailed Reflection and Eclipse and am booked on Silhouette in January 2017. Liked the Lawn Club Grill. Celebrity is a notch above RCCL IMHO. I say Silhouette. :D:D

Post-Its / Dry Erase Board / Set meeting time at set meeting place. :D

We LOVED the Lawn Club Grill (and the Sunset Bar) on Reflection.

Most recently in Fort Lauderdale (April) we used Uber several times and loved it (very reasonable). When we go from FLL to Port of Miami and return we use Jiffy Jeff Transportation. Large Mercedes Sprinters. Great service and reasonable.

I love the Boatyard on 17th Street. Great food and they have a patio on a canal with great yachts. Spent the afternoon there when we got off Allure in April because we had a late flight. Not to be missed. :D:D

On Victory in January (no steakhouse) members of my party ordered the steaks and they were very good. I opted for the lobster tails and was very happy.

Have you considered looking at MSC Divina ? We are booked on Divina in October and on Silhouette in January of 2017. Divina is very reasonable for an aft balcony. We paid $1,500 for two w/ $300 obc. :D

Thanks Helen Haywood (and All) I am going with an open mind. I remember a $149/pp Carnival 4 nighter (my 1st inside cabin) I went expecting a good cruise and got far more than my moneys worth. The MSC price intrigued me and that was my original reason for choosing Divina, Then I started reading the reviews. Over and over I read that the ship is stunning, beautiful and the cleanest ship. Even without having completed my first MSC cruise, I have booked Seaside for March 2018. I agree about the cat getting out of the bag but so many of us follow CC it is hard to keep a secret. I will post a review when I return in October. Then it is on to Silhouette in January 2017 :D:D

I have been on 35+ cruises on several different lines. I have been in a suite and I have been inside. I prefer Celebrity and I prefer the specialty restaurants. We were on Princess several years ago when they rolled out the first specialty restaurant "Sterling Steak House." I am booked on MSC Divina in October for my 1st MSC cruise. My concern is the Love It - Hate It reviews of Divina on CC. I have watched several videos on you tube and read many reviews on CC. I don't understand how one person blasts MSC and another on the same cruise gives them great marks. Which is it ?

On previous cruises leaving Miami with Key West as the first stop we were required to report to a customs inspection on the vessel early in the morning. (7ish) I could not imagine why ?????

Call me crazy :D I picked our April Allure cruise after seeing a video of the Rising Tide on YouTube. It seemed like it would be fun and I was not disappointed. It was great for people watching. I think I liked the Trellis Bar the best. :D
-
On Allure in April full bar and you could ride up and down as much as you liked. Was "closed" for a private function on evening.

We are Celebrity people. Just off RCCL Allure. Booked on Divina in October and then Seaside March 2018. Looking forward to the MSC experience and hope we like it. ike the "match" offer and the lower booze prices. Time will tell. :D:D

Does MSC offer Luggage Valet from Divina to Fort Lauderdale Airport ?
-
I bought some (reusable) RCCL/Celebrity luggage tag holders on Amazon. They come with heavy duty steel attachment wires. I carry them in my carry on and put them on when we arrive at the pier. Well worth the small expense. Just wonder what shape MSC tags are. :D:D

We were on Allure in April and my wife loved the zipline. :D:D

NO !!! I cruised when you could smoke in your cabin and on your balcony. I loved having a cigar on the balcony after dinner.

Don't underestimate Richard Branson and Tom McAlpin and Virgin Cruises. Tom was the man Disney hired to start Disney Cruises. I think Virgin will have a new radical design. I am looking forward to MSC Seaside also. I am already booked on Seaside.

On Allure in April I wore pressed shorts and polo shirts in the dining venues. They don't seem to take a second look. I always pack a pair of black slacks and end up taking them home still in the cleaners bag. Not trying to upset anyone...just enjoy my cruise. I think times are changing,

Any port where I can stay on board and hang at the pool / pool bar. If I HAVE to get off, GC would be #1. In my last five cruises, I have only left the vessel once, Falmouth Jamaica for a private bus adventure. Been there - Done that

It seems like there is no "standard" anymore. On Victory in January (Boy's Cruise) I wore dress shorts (dry cleaned and pressed) and a polo shirt to the MDR every night. No stares, no whistles, no comments, no problem. On Allure in April I did the same thing with the same result. I far prefer the "resort" direction. I have been on 40 cruises and go to relax, not pose for photos. JMHO :D:D

I bought both sizes of tag holders on Amazon (Prime) Carnival wide and Celebrity/RCCL narrow. Well worth the few bucks. Very durable.
