  1. Probably a good thing you were not out there. It would have startled you had you been out there. The video was insane and thankfully no one was under it, especially a baby in a stroller.
  2. Jimbo I can attest as an extremely frequent hockey viewer and attendee, there will be more replay views that the officials see that the viewers at home won’t. It isn’t an “us” VS “you” thing because it is being held in Canada. It is the way hockey goals are called it called off for the home or away team. That said, let’s go Canada.
  3. It’s my SIL and she works for our family business. She was excited when I told her I was going tequila shopping as she knows a bottle will be hers. 😀
  4. We stopped at one as well. I needed some water pills. The homeopathic ones I brought from home haven’t helped my ankles. I used google photo translate to confirm the product and dosage before taking one. I also looked up what it product does in English.
  5. Our son has been riding with the piano player and singing with him on Harmony this week. He’s been spotted multiple times.
  6. I’m on the ship and it certainly wasn’t a wave. First reports were a bit off. 😁
  7. Back at the ship. We bought some essentials in port, vanilla and tequila. Further reports on the day to come later tonight.
  8. Someone might be having too many late nights. Meanwhile I had to do some real work today. I send a photo of my mobile office view to my coworker, my SIL.
  9. Lisa just came from the pool and said it was nice and warm. The first three rows here are busy and the remain rows are empty. There are a few people in the pool but it is not full. Thankfully our meal at Sabor was the opposite of your experience. We had the quesadillas, Lisa had the barbacoa tacos and I had the shrimp tacos. I think if they had mango for it and a creama fresh topping it would have been elevated more.
  10. Initial thoughts are it is bigger than Nachi but not as crazy as Playa Mia. There are no ship run excursions here like Playa Mia. As far as peacefulness it is not like Nachi but if you need to have activity this is right in the middle of the the 3 day resorts. Over all report to come later in the day.
  11. LOL, Graham. He just has to work it off. He’ll be staying in Cozumel to pay off his shore excursion until March when we return.
  12. We are here at Paradise Beach. Nice spot. We might get to watch Owen’s “maneuvers” first hand today. YTD. Owen is now on the trampoline out on the water park.
  13. We are doing something new here today. We are going to Paradise Beach. Reports to come as the day goes on.
  14. This Seabourn ship just arrived. Not sure if Harmony birthed it last night on the way here but I think we could jam it into Central Park and fill the gap. For scale and perspective, I’m standing on our balcony on deck 17, and I’m taller than its highest point.
  15. The starboard wave stopped as its water ran across the pool deck with the list of the ship. We were on the port wave riding and no effect on it. I could see the hard turn of the ship and looked the wake and immediately said to Lisa that something was up. The captain’s announcement was about 10 minutes later. Edit to add - I didn’t see a bogie boarder float by our wave.😅
  16. Social Media, in this case from Porto Rico, seems to be overly dramatic and wrong for the most part. A wave didn’t hit the ship and the ship wasn’t inspected to continue on. The ship was looking at the life raft. Probably someone on board who has no clue to what happened posted without looking into it. The captain kept us informed with announcements to what happened and why. Nothing in our cabin was out of place. Having experienced a rouge wave I can affirm we were not “hit by a wave”. Here is the social media post. Yes, the water came over and thankfully no one appears to be under it or hurt. There were no Alpha calls during the event for injuries. It also was not treated as an Oscar event, no call was made. I would suspect because it didn’t involve anyone from the ship.
