We are up packed but have a few other things to do. We will see you later this afternoon.

Luggage was waiting and our room was ready when boarded. We are mustered and ready to set sail. And they decorated for my birthday. Even a few goodies were waiting. Cake anyone.

Just read that Terminal 1 at FLL has had an IT outage for security screening and other airport systems. Does not appear to be affecting the other terminals. I feel for those affected by this. Edit: just watching a news story and they said the lines are still long but the glitch has been fixed. Southwest, Frontier and Alaska have been effected. Southwest isn’t having any luck.

Good morning everyone. We slept decent last night. Woke at seven and not sure what that means for later tonight. What I do know, our ship is here. I also know that our wifi at the hotel is amazing. It will be interesting to see how the ship compares.

Night all. We made it past 10, two night in a row. In 5 nights time we’ll be going to bed when the sun rises. See you in the morning.

Thanks OB. We thought about you while eating the pizza tonight. We wish we could get pizza that solid on the ship. Instead we have Sorento's, the best pizza on Harmony of the Seas. 😉😁

Weather looks good for embarkation day. It’s in Celsius, in honour of the ship. For those needing a Fahrenheit translation, it’s hot. Also good temps for Nassau and Coco Cay. Translation, it’s going to be a nice day. Sea heights seem to be good too. Sea temps decent for swimming too for all our ports, especially for people from northern climates.

So we have had a quiet night hanging in the room. We plan on arriving at Terminal 18 for Harmony around 11am. We are gassed after the last few days of travel. We are trying to stay up late to get our clocks ready for tomorrow night. Like a runner training for a marathon, we are going to stay up past 10 tonight to make it to midnight tomorrow. I guess it’s time to talk about the cruise for a couple minutes. The itinerary is the “classic” Bahamas/Mexico sailing, with the now mandatory stop at Coco Cay. We also get to stop in Nassau, the not as mandatory stop on a 7 day sailing. We are doing something we have not done before, more to come later. Where will home be for the week on the ship? You will find us in what some of you have known to be our regular spot. We are up on deck 17. Our cabin looks like this representation below. Thankfully the balcony has a rail on all needed edges and the levitating bedroom is actually a balcony/second story that doesn’t overhang the edge of the ship. That would be uncomfortable, especially for the people looking at us from the mini golf course.

Dinner at Matchbox was amazing. Owen had the Oreo shake and chicken fettuccine alfredo. Garlic bread was MMMM. Lisa had pizza and salad. I had the half chicken that was brined for 24 hours. It is rare to have a bird so juicy.

Where we are having dinner tonight is part of the Sawgrass complex. Looks like this father has put in too much time today. Many have felt his pain.

As we walked the mall I must have had cruising on my mind. This isn’t like the Oasis I know, but Sawgrass had a Royal Promenade vibe. I’ll wait for the sale onboard. 😉 I think we are now in a port of call, Porto Sawgrasso? A Suite and Pinnacle toiletry store? Then I started thinking about tomorrow being NYE. I thought about buying some but thought the better of it even though marketed as “safe”. I’d only use them at midnight, when the ball drops. Speaking of ball drops, this sign has us laughing.

A few photos our marathon that is Sawgrass. We had our Uber drop us at furthest end and we must have walked the entire mall twice over the 3 hours there. A few random shots. Swim suits. No drone purchased this trip. LOL A soft spot for me but I kept walking. No target in Canada, so we obviously had to go in. They keep the fancy sneakers behind glass at the sneaker resellers. Breath deep before you look at price. 😳 Owen did get this case that holds his AirPod case. Waaaay more economical. I found this place interesting. We didn’t stop to eat. IMG_1981.MOV What was purchased? A few snacks and pop, Owen got some swimsuits - the Chubbies and a pair of glasses. That’s the hotel in the background. Thankfully it’s just a few steps away.

That sucks but safe travels and Happy Anniversary. Perhaps someone following along can chime in as we only Uber or taxi to pout.
