  1. The Windsor bridge is a few hours away from me. I follow a guy on Instagram who frequently posts photos of the work. Below are some of of his latest shots. I left his info on the screen shots if anyone wants to follow his account. Unlike Baltimore this bridge isn’t being constructed in a “hurried” fashion.
  2. Found this today. Looks like things are starting to move. Not sure how accurate it is as it just a random guy talking, but it is interesting.
  3. I forgot to get a photo of the meal plate, but I did take pics of dessert. Maple syrup pie. That’s right, syrup in the pie filling as well in the homemade whipped cream. I added a scoop to my coffee with cream. Then added candied pecans. Lucy was like, what about me when we got home.
  4. A few photos from yesterday’s Easter dinner at the MIL. Table is set. Pork loin and scalloped potatoes. Yet to be cooked beans. Homemade instant pickles. Salad.
  5. It appears as though their last posts on CC were this thread, so I’m not sure if they will get back to you.
  6. Agreed. I thought earlier in the thread someone posted that dangerous goods can’t go in the tunnels, therefore they travelled on the bridge.
  7. Twice in the same thread. Very impressive.
  8. Time to fire up your camera Chief. YouTube is waiting and I’d subscribe.
  9. Our entire province has been given a PA Day for grade and high school students. Only a small sliver of our province is in the zone of greatest eclipse viewing zone but they all get it. Meanwhile they could be at home, while their parents are at work, and stare at the sun. Makes on sense to me. Maybe as I get older I’ll understand it better. 😉
  10. When did eclipses become such an “emergency for safety”. In my life I have lived through multiple ones (5 I can easily think of) without losing my sight and 2 of them I was in grade school. Rules for eclipse haven’t changed, I guess society has just gotten dumber. With warnings in coffee cups I guess I should not be surprised. I was in San Francisco during this eclipse. We were driving there from Monterey and were just checking into the hotel at the height. Afterwards we went to Alcatraz.
  11. I wish it had been true. Having watched the video it is amazing that 2 survived.
  12. I only heard about the original two. One is in hospital and the other “walked away”. I haven’t seen news on the two new recoveries myself but they had to have gotten out of the water quickly as hypothermia would have led to their demise some time ago. My fingers are crossed that more have been found alive.
  13. Isn’t Vision soon going to dry dock? If that is the case I could foresee the remaining cruises being cancelled, especially if arrangements for another embarkation port are difficult to set up on short notice. I can’t see how that would be easy, let alone the guests getting there and back VS their original plan of Baltimore. Edit to add: just read what @Ourusualbeach beach posted as I was typing. Seems like getting the guests home on the ship is the first concern for RC and then cancelling the next two sailings seems to be the news to come.
  14. I was watching the news right now and you can see that the ships anchor is down, so they tried to slow the ship. It makes me think it was a mechanical issue, as they had time to try and slow the vessel. Sadly if it worked it didn’t change the outcome.
  15. For sure. Just heard they lost power and tried to drop the anchor to slow the ship. If you think about how many ships have passed under this bridge without this happening before, it is amazing. FBI is also there helping to run the investigation, from logistics to the possibility of terrorism.
