  1. If you have time to spare here is the video of our trip to the Grand Canyon. I cut a lot out and it is still just under 15 minutes. You can see how low Lake Mead is even though it has gone up a bit, Hover Dam, The GC Skywalk, and a return flight over the strip. The one thing I found amazing is how green and lush even the dessert was after their rains so far this year. You especially see it in along the riverโ€™s edge. If you have any question I might be able to answer them. I also added some music so please turn up your volume. A direct link if it doesnโ€™t want to play. https://youtu.be/Bt6CJHZ8B1o
  2. Home now. Laundry sorted and ready to wash tomorrow. I have the Grand Canyon video ready to post tomorrow and Easter Dinner tomorrow afternoon at my mother in-laws. Lucy also met us at the side door when we got home. I have to say nothing beats your own bed.
  3. For those looking for a Lucy update, Lisa just this message from our neighbour back home. They live about 1/4 mile away.
  4. When I was Owens age dad used to listen to both of them while we driving places. Streisand? Diamond and Elvis as well. I thought of dad a fair amount this weekend because of the Elvis/Vegas connection.
  5. This is Owenโ€™s early birthday โ€œpartyโ€ so to speak. When they heard it was his birthday they disappeared and minutes later had the card. We highly suspect they have a bunch signed in advance with no names on them. He still loved it though.
  6. Tonightโ€™s outing. I guess they are on a first name basis with Owen. This popcorn is more than Royals. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Owen has already polished one off faster than the lobster risotto and it certainly wasnโ€™t a gift from the Dolby Theatre.
  7. And the view. I had to Google Evel Knievel and the jumping of the Caesarโ€™s Fountains. Owen found it hard to believe.
  8. It was incredibly green for the dessert. The heat is coming next week and our pilot said things will dry up quick. That said, you can see the green in the video later to come along the rivers edge. A Joshua Tree. We stopped on the journey and landed along the canyons edge for 30 minutes to take it in. Love this shot.
  9. A pick photo drop from our trip to the Grand Canyon. In the photo below you can see the glass walkway in the distance. Vegas on the return trip. Jessie our pilot from Texas. We enough our time with him and we left him in stitches.
  10. It was spectacular. It is unfortunate their situation wasnโ€™t the same. We had winds no stronger than 9mph and temps in the mid 60s. There was very little wind buffering along the way too. Sounds crazy to say it, but it was one of the best chopper rides so far. We have been blessed to be able to say that.
  11. Here is a bit of video from last nightโ€™s game. One of the best spots is seeing when the Knights had a goal announced and the arena goes wild and I turn and show the faces of 4 LA Kings fans. Thatโ€™s at about the 2:20 mark into the video. They were so sassy in the beginning. We have never been to a hockey game with so much enthusiasm and excitement. Vegas definitely knows how to host a game, on top of playing it.
  12. You got it. We flew with them almost 10 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a sunset flight to the canyon and over the strip in the dark on the way back. Today we are flying to the canyon with a quick stop in the Canyon.
