  1. We sailed on the Coral Princess to Alaska 2005. I chose Princess due to people saying if you cruise to Alaska Princess is the best & sail from Vancouver because you will see more of Alaska. Cruise left from Vancouver & we departed in Seward. We only cruise there 1 time so I nothing to compare it to.

It was a good cruise & we both enjoyed Alaska. My only complaint would be the entertainment was lacking on the ship.

  2. That's right - put the wine in your carry on. Which is tricky if you fly, because the airlines require wine to be in a checked bag only. Don't forget to move the wine to the carry on before you board or Carnival will seize your vino.

The Carnival website should have details of their alcohol policy.

We don't have to fly for this cruise!!! I was asking for some newbies that are traveling with us. :)

  3. Great review & I enjoyed all of your pictures.

I know how frustrating it can be having to wait for someone who didn't listen/ understand about where to meet at the end of a tour. It happen to me while in DC nearing the rush hour. We had to wait on a lady & her grandson.

I was very glad to read, you did look after the 2 elderly ladies & they returned to the ship safely. Had you not returned for them, would they have known who to contact for help. I don't know you or the 2 sisters. Thank You!! for looking out for them :) :)

  4. Does anyone know of another reputable snorkeling tour company besides Woodwind? They are booked for our Navigator cruise next April. Appreciate the information .

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

I don't know of another company, but you could ask to be on a waiting list if someone should cancel. That's how we got our reservation.

  5. We were just there this week . I love my necklaces they smell so good thanks for the tip My necklaces got a little mold on them in the 2 days they stayed in the luggage just wipe them off with wet paper towel . I just don't know what the small nuts are they look like almonds .

    Nutmeg maybe?

  6. We just got back this past Saturday from Grenada. I don't have a lot of time to write, as it is closing time here at work, but it is a beautiful port to check out. I did buy some cinnamon, and a dish towel from the vendors that are close by, and they do sometimes accept bargaining too.

I also walk "150" feet or more up to the fort, where the view is more than awesome. I am 73, but it was worth walking up those steps to see all of Grenada.

Good to hear you liked Grenada! Did you take a tour?

  7. Bettyboop16, thanks for your reply back.

So I guess my main question is, these are really more for fragrance, than to use in cooking, baking? The reason I ask, I do a lot of Christmas baking, and thought perhaps some of their spices might work, but as you said, I'll try to ask about strength of the spices.

Yes, if you want to email pictures, my email is bbeshears@yahoo.com

    Thank you.

I sent you a couple of pics.

  8. I believe the necklace is for fragrance only. I did buy some spices that were packed like sample size (grated in small plastic bags) in small straw container as gifts also. I never gave any thought about the strength of the spices. You might want to ask that question in Grenada.

If you want to give me your email address, I can send you a few pics of the items I purchased. I can't post pics on CC.... I have never used photo bucket.

  9. In regard to the spice necklaces in Grenada, I gather (???) they are to hang in the kitchen, etc., but not to wear, is that correct? I haven't seen any pictures, so that may seem like a strange question, but I thought I would ask.

LOL!! no, you don't want to wear them. I hung mine in the laundry room & my daughter in law put hers in the car.

It's different spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, bay leaf & a couple others... strung on what looks like monofilament line (fishing line). If you plan on buying some, make sure you pack a paper bag to put them in.

I bought 9 & gave them as gifts when we returned home.
