Last night was lobster night, which meant it was dress your best night. The meal was a little disappointing. This must be a south Maine lobster, because it was pretty small I had a vadalia onion tart which was not as good as past sailings. and the warm chocolate cake was not like the old molten cake. It has also disappointing that apple blossom and apple pie is no longer on the menu. We had to stop at JR’s for apple pie, and even it was underwhelming. At least it still doesn’t have raisins.

I can’t believe how many in the theatre were cheering for the change to Nassau. Wish they would have changed to CocoCay. By way of extra info, Labadee was changed because they had heavy rain and flooding that damaged the infrastructure. Blur Lagoon dolphin swim may be fun for the kids. We did that once, but who knows what will be offered. Of course, didn’t they recently have a major incident with the boat that takes you there?

Now, I have seen dogs chasing cars on land, but I think this is the first time I have seen one chasing and barking at a scooter on the jogging track.

Pro tip of the day Don’t walk thru El Loco Fresh on a very windy day, unless you want to chance getting hit with a flying plate of beans. It looked like they just got done filming Animal House food fight scene. I felt bad for the clean up crew. No self serve handling of utensils here today. Something must be going on.

Technology update. Starlink is good at times, and bad at times. Had trouble connecting in the solarium for a while. Plugs in the cabin - better than some ships, but rapidly becoming old school. Two usb type A ports at the desk and three us plugs and one European. There is one us plug by the bed, and I haven’t bothered to look under it. It seems technology has moved mainly to usb Type C plugs now. I bought this little gem this summer to charge all our devices. Five usb Type C and two usb Type A plugs. Enough power to charge my iPad, two iPhones, two Apple Watches, and power banks. we have two Anker power banks we bring along to make sure we maintain power while ashore.

Maybe time for some random things, since I am lounging around on this sea day. We have 1,470 kids onboard, under the age of 17. I would have guessed there were more. I don’t know if they counted Daryl in that total. They said to expect more on our Utopia sailing this summer. If I wasn’t adding three to that total, I would avoid that summer sailing.

I know it is early to think about departure, but I filled out our departure information and requested the latest time of 9-9:30. So what do they give us? The earliest. Probably because we are doing self assist. I think since they said we can depart “whenever you are ready”, we will be close to last off.

My son said this today. I told him it was probably no more questions than this guy got, checking into the hotel with his blowup.
