Anni are you still posting?
-
Goportcanaveral.com, Really they save you tons of money, especially if you call
I would recommend going to CC's sister site Tripadvisor.com and post your question under Sanford Florida
-
At Avis they had those tour books/pamphlets and we found the coupon in there...
Nice. They are running a November special for residents of the County for $15.00. Still paid $10 to park, bought $10 worth of food, and $10 worth of stuff!
It was a great day. I had not been in 11 years and the Atlantis show alone was amazing.

I'm trying to fit a KSC trip in our itinerary as well. How many hours minimum is recommended to stay there?
Also where can I find the $10 discount for admission?
Dont know about the discount but we were there from 10-3 and felt like we saw most of it.
-
I was at KSC last week and one day is plenty of time to see it all. Rent a car. Simple drive.
-
The rate should be what makes your decision.

I am a little late but would love a copy if someone can help.

Well it has been a while since I visited this thread. It is my hope all is well with each of you! Port Canaveral has some exciting expansion plans in the future!
-
Anyone have a Link to their site?
-
Forgive me if it is listed somewhere in this thread......we are renting a car at MCO and driving to Cocoa Beach.....I saw a toll road listed on google maps. Anyone know how much the toll is? Details? It's been a long time since I've ever been on a toll road. Do you still have to have exact change?
Thanks!!
I use Avis who has electronic transponders for the tolls but they charge a surcharge of $2.50 a day plus the tolls. If you stop to pay there are 2 between the airport and here and I think a total of $2.50

that was the person i talked with
I would call him again.

Don't use AVIS Cape Canaveral
I was in port for a cruise last week and rented a $26 car plus taxes (used coupons)
had the car only 4 1/2 hours
when I got back from my cruise a week later I see a charge of $110
I call he said he would refund the difference
well 3 days later the refund is only $46 not $78
I don't know how this guy can just charge anything they like
Either he doesn't know how to add/subtract or just adding charges and seeing if they stick.
I should not have to spend hours to fix a simple problem
they also on the phone before my rental said last shuttle 6pm when i got there they said 5pm even tho they close at 6pm so I had to pay my own way back to the ship(which is fine)
-- this is just my experience and others may have no problems just posting mine, I never review businesses but when i had to make 6 phone call and spend hours out of my day for a 4 hour rental
You may want to call back and talk to the owner Bob. I happen to know he runs an up and up business.

Glad this worked pretty well for you. I have heard the opposite also.

I totally agree with you on the shuttles! Do you know the name of a reliable taxi service I can call? Thanks!
Many here Yellow, AAA to name a couple! -
Thanks again jamida... I found Hampton Inn also had the deal... Same price as Comfort Inn... Still not sure who we are going with, but I set myself a deadline for end of the week to book:) Keeps me from driving myself nuts for too long trying to make a decision...
I just noticed we are sailing the same weekend except you're on the Dream and we board Freedom the next day...
Preston... This thread was invaluable to me many years ago when we first sailed from PC... So I knew I had to check it out this time around... I was glad to see it was still going...
Can you give me an opinion on a restaurant called Old Fish House? And do you think walking is feasible if we choose a hotel near there? Or would the trolley jamida mentioned be a better option? I'm assuming the trolley has hours of operation that might not work with our dinner plans...
The Fish House has been there for years. I am not a fish person so have not been but have never heard anything bad. As for walking I would! -
Nice to see this thread still going. Happy New Year all!
Has anyone used this company in the past? Please share your experiences! (aka ATC Shuttle)
I have not heard of them. However there are many here. -
anyone know if Alamo, national, budget or dollar charge for one way rentals? And do they offer shuttles to the port after dropping the car off.
They all offer shuttles and normally no one way charge but you need to check to be sure. -
After the ship docks is there anyplace in the Port to buy a newspaper..Just wondering after being at sea for 2 days we would like to catch up on the news..Thank you
Not sure but would be interested to know! -
I am sure it is on here but unsure where to begin looking......what are the transportation shuttle companies that pick up at Port Canaveral and return to Orlando International Airport
Many, might I suggest you Google search "Shuttles" Port Canaveral.

I cannot imagine the Radisson is like that anymore. They now have onsite cruise
parking and a fleet of busses.

 How long temporary terminal for Ecstasy?
Hi, I was hoping you could answer some questions for us. We heard on here that there is work being done on the terminal at Port Canaveral. How long is the cruise terminal for the Ecstasy going to be down? Some other members have said it was a pain and long lines were created. We cruise on September 24, 2012 any chance all work will be done by then?
Also, we are thinking of LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Cocoa Beach to stay at. What are your thoughts on this hotel? We are renting a car and driving from MCO/orlando int airport.
Thanks for any answers or thoughts.
MECruisin
Not really sure about the terminal. I suspect it will not change by September. LaQuinta is great and a very good location. I have stayed there. Many food and drink choices close by. Buffalo Shrimp on the pier or anything at Boston Beef! Rent the car from Avis, Hertz, Budget, Thrifty or Enterprise and the will shuttle you to the ship in the morning.

I know, I know... I live at the beach and see the huge price spike every year but STILL! This is MY vacation... LOL:eek:
I may look into the off-site parking - Does anyone have an opinion about the Four Points in Cocoa Beach?
Nice property. Next door to Ron Jons and in the heart of everything.
Welcome to NE Germany - happy to help you enjoy
