  1. Are you sure it is $40.00 per day?  It has always been the difference between the two packages.

The new daily prices are $109.00 for Premium and $89.00 for Classic. Have you actually purchased the upgrade?

It would be $40.00 if you are upgrading for 2 people which may be required with the new drink Package requirements.

The premium was $15 on the Beyond at that time and the drink $20 and they added a $1 service charge so that brings us to $6

You are both correct. The new maximum for Premium is $17.00.  The question now is what is the current price of Above The Clouds.  The App for Beyond has the current price as $15.00.  Who knows, they may change it for the next cruise.

I tried without it same thing.  We have done close to 40 cruises on X and for at least the last 10 the military rate hasn’t affected any perks.  Residence rates has done that but we never use that.

I was checking some pricing yesterday and noticed the same thing. I skipped the part where you entered your CC Number and it then gave the option to add the AI. You may want to try that.

We will be on a SV cruise next year.  Someone had posted a numbered picture of the SV cabins (pic of back of the ship with cabin numbers typed in) and circled the larger ones.  If anyone can find that or direct me to it I would much appreciate it!

Second, are the beds alternating - by balcony/ by bathroom in the SV and how do you know which your cabin is in?

    Thanks all!

I believe this is the picture you are looking for. It’s a picture of Edge so I don’t know if the cabin numbers are the same as Beyond. The original was done by Vt Cruiser who was the Queen of Edge. She passed away a few years ago and is sorely missed.

I may have been too harsh with my initial thoughts about the feel of this area but your mindset has to be it's a new ship, a different class than S-class.

You really weren’t harsh in your observation. I agree with your thoughts about the Martini Bar. On S Class ships it has a completely different feel. X made an improvement on Beyond with the seats circling the bar vs. minimal bar seating on Edge. But it still does not have the more intimate feel due to the fact that it is the center of the action in the Plaza area. We found it easier to sit at the Eden Bar to enjoy a conversation and meet other guests. Thanks for your review.

So, being vaxxed and boosted, I don’t have to test to go to Cartegena.  Good to know, as we will be on the December 12 Cruise on the Constellation.

You may still need to be tested. Check out the Celebrity website.

Songbird is correct. As long as you are vaccinated you do not need to have a test to debark in Cartagena.

I have tried the Eden tasting menu. It is part of the cost of Eden. It is extremely good and the wine is included if you have the premium package.
Disclaimer: I had an Edge Villa where almost everything was part of my cruise fare so I am not sure if its the same for every passenger.

Thank you. We have premium but not in one of the top suites.

I have not seen a Eden tasting menu. Just checked for our Edge, Beyond and Apex sailings.  The only tasting menu I have seen is for Le Voyage on the Beyond.

Take a look on the Celebrity App for one of the current cruises. Click on the Restaurants tab and then the Eden Restaurant. Then select Menu. You should then be able to see the current menu for Eden. I looked at the menu for both Edge and Apex and they both had a Tasting Menu option.

Here are a couple of screenshots from the App for courses 2 and 3:image.thumb.png.cf84cdb5c43ff222929cf3c0f304f1d1.pngimage.thumb.png.9b1fd81e76bc6b6cd4e139549b726523.png

  9. I tried to search for this to no avail. The X App shows the menu for the Eden restaurant. It also shows a Tasting Menu option. Has anyone tried it and what is the cost. A wine selection for each course is shown in the App. Is this included in the price?

All of the options for the courses are from the standard menu so I guess you can create your own “Tasting Menu”. There are Six courses on the Tasting Menu plus Dessert. I’m just curious if anyone has tried the published menu.

To report - Miami said I would be accommodated with a vegan meal,  once aboard I was told no accommodations could be made as they are under contract with DB with that stipulation! What is true, I canceled accordingly.

    Bon Appétit and bon voyage

Thanks for coming back. I was looking forward to hearing what they served. I’m sure you enjoyed your cruise even without this special dinner. You always seem to make the best out of any situation.

I've taken 5 cruises since the pandemic and 4/5 Captain's all gave daily updates including the exact amount of covid cases onboard. I'll give you 1 guess on who the silent captain was... But thanks so much for your input, it was so helpful and constructive in this conversation!

Three cheers for @jetblueand thumbs down for @kirtihk  Glad you became BFF’s in 2 cruises. I can only imagine he doesn’t even remember your name.

  12. I’m not sure this has been reported on CC. I just read on another social media site that the menu in Eden on Edge has changed this week to mimic the menu on Apex. I checked the X App and it was confirmed. For those of you that loved the previous menu, you may be disappointed. It’s more of a standard appetizer, entree and dessert menu. It’s a nice variety, but definitely a significant change from the previous unique offerings. We will miss the old menu, but will also give the new one a try.

If this has already been posted, accept my apologies.

Hi...I've read various threads here and still confused about this package. It seems to basically be an upgrade to premium drinks + OBC that (may?) need to be used for a shore excursion. The wifi + tips you already get as part of "always included", correct?

But at $30pppd, it's $420 for a 7 night cruise. To simply upgrade to Premium drinks is $12pppd, so $168. That means you are paying $252 for the OBC.

    Is all of that correct?

If you don't need the OBC, then it would make sense to ignore Elevate and just upgrade the drinks package correct?

Is there *any* reason to get Elevate other than a slight extra net in OBC (i.e., pay $252 to get approx $300 for a Verandah).

    Thanks.

    No. Your numbers are correct.

If you are in a Sky Suite do you have to pay for meals in the Aqua Spa Cafe?

Spa Cafe is free of charge for all guests. In fact Celebrity has renamed it the Spa Cafe instead of the Aqua Spa Cafe because many people thought it was only for guests in Aqua cabins.
