  1. I think, as the OP mentioned, if you book with a TA you can't book your own transfers or see that option in the Personalizer. Back when we used a TA we had to have them book the transfers, but now that we book direct we have the ability to see them and book ourselves in the Personalizer.
  2. Thanks! I am actually fine with the port change. We've been to Belize before but it was a long time ago so I'm sure we'll find something to do. I'm just annoyed that Princess has obviously known about this 'port congestion' for some time but has yet to notify anyone. Until today they were still selling Mahogany Bay beach activity excursions, which seems rather disingenuous.
  3. I just stumbled across the change in itineray for our upcoming Regal cruise January 21 from Galveston. We were supposed to be in Roatan at Mahogany Bay on Thursday January 25, but will now call on Belize instead. I have been watching the website port schedule ever since @Host CJSKIDS thread on her last minute itinerary changes. The Regal has never shown on the Mahogany Bay website port schedule since it was released for 2024 several weeks ago, so obviously Princess has known about this change for some time. I thought it was unlikely we would actually dock in MB since another Carnival ship was scheduled to be there with 6,500 potential passengers. I have yet to be notified by Princess of this change and only saw it when I logged into the Personalizer. My booked excursions for MB are gone so I will wait for my refund. No excursions are yet available for Belize. My Travel Summary now says: 'Itinerary Change: Please be advised that due to cruise ship congestion in Roatan, Honduras, Regal Princess will no longer call to Roatan on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Instead we will now visit Belize City, Belize, from 7:00AM to 5:00PM on the same day.'
  4. Formal dress is only required ('suggested' per the Princess website) at the main dining room and you are free to move about the ship in other venues in casual wear. If you don't want to dress up there are other food options such as the buffet, casual dining depending on your ship, and specialty dining. We've gone on cruises and not taken any formal wear at all, and other times we do dress up once or twice. For cruises where we didn't take formal wear we simply eat in the buffet or book specialty dining. Don't let it stop you from cruising on Princess 🙂
  5. We paid $59 in October but it sounds like the price has gone up 😞
  6. Here is a screen shot of where you find the Travel Summary on the desktop/web version of the Personalizer. The link is in the upper right corner. Also here's a screen shot of my Travel Summary where it lists the vaccination information at the bottom under 'Important Notices'.
  7. Here's a screen shot from the online page. It's the top item where you also print your luggage tags at 75 days out. If you're on the desktop version it's in the top right hand side of the page with the same heading. The Travel Summary is the primary document for your cruise, with the itinerary, flights, excursions, packages, OBC, invoice & payment, etc. Highly suggest you keep a PDF copy.
  8. I might need a refresher on this saga, but has the buddy not logged into the Personalizer to look at his booking? No excursions booked online? No dining? Surely he has looked at his Travel Summary document? I don't get it.
  9. I'm not defending the OP and think the review is an outlier as someone else up thread already said. I'm just saying there are many people who cruise frequently and aren't members here. I've tried to get some family members to join but they prefer other online forums. So I don't find that odd. I currently have 3 Princess cruises booked so I'm obviously not letting this review influence me too much. We leave in 2 weeks for the next one 🙂
  10. I know lots of people who cruise all the time and aren't members of CC (many family members and co-workers for starters). Especially in this day and age of multiple other online forums. I wouldn't find that odd at all.
  11. Interesting my tracking has an update as of 1/4/24 at 12:49am; however, TODAY right now it's 1/3/24. Time travel must be a new perk. Must be China time. 😋
  12. We sail 1/21 and received the medallion shipping notice email today. I was pleasantly surprised and expected it would be closer to sailing. We have Plus so didn't pay extra. Our last cruise in September we picked them up at the pier in Southampton.
  13. This feature has been in place for awhile now. Some shoreside merchants accept medallions as payment. It's been discussed on CC before -- you can do a search as I don't want to hijack this thread. But I think it's been in place for over a year at least.
  14. I'm not sure if you're looking at June 2024 or 2025, but our late May/early June 2024 cruisetour has been sold out for months. Also all the excursions we have booked have either been sold out for awhile or if they are still available, they have gone up in price. My advice if you are looking at 2024 would be not to wait too long to book. I know there are still cruisetours that can be booked but prices are only going up. I've read that Alaska bookings are very strong and some excursion/tour providers are already booking for 2025. Good luck in your planning 🙂
  15. You can reinstall the old app. I did that yesterday and everything was still there just like before. I'm going to leave both on my phone until after our cruise in 3 weeks.
  16. In other social media online forums the official Princess channels are being bombarded with the same questions/concerns that are being raised on this forum. I'm pretty sure they are aware 🙂
  17. Do you still have the old app on your phone with the original reservations? I have both on my phone and the reservations are in both versions correctly. Maybe check the old version and see if there's a difference? Also I take a screen shot of my reservations after I make them 'just in case'.
  18. Same here, just popped up in my email inbox.
  19. Thanks for the heads up! I just downloaded it and everything looks fine for our cruise in 3 weeks 🙂 Dining reservations show up correctly too.
  20. We don't sail until early June (cruisetour is last week of May) and our Hubbard Glacier excursion has been sold out for several months. We booked it at $299 and it went up to $339 in the Personalizer a few months ago and has been wait list only for quite awhile. Also every other excursion we have booked has gone up in price anywhere from $10 to $50 per person.
  21. https://www.portofgalveston.com/80/Cruise-Lines-Schedules There are port schedules on the official Port of Galveston website for 2023 and 2024. Scroll to the bottom where it says 'Cruise Calendars'. For our Regal Princess cruise on January 21, 2024, it shows Terminal 25.
  22. I stand corrected as well. I didn't do a search for world cruises and was thinking just TA. I should know better as I just went on a cruise on the Island 🙂 My apologies.
  23. Agreed. There are a lot of strange things about this, but doing a search on the Princess website reveals no TA cruises starting in Italy for April 2024.
  24. https://www.nps.gov/dena/index.htm See the 'Alerts in Effect' at the top of the page. There's also a lot of other good info on the park website.
  25. I like the feature of using the app too, no more standing at the future cruise desk or dropping off a form and hoping it gets credited. Does anybody know if you can use FCDs on an existing booking? I was thinking you could, but things have changed so much over the years I wasn't 100%.
