  1. Not sure I understand the Victoria argument. How many cruises <5 days go to Victoria? But regardless, if anyone still thinks vaccination status is still protecting certain places, I have a bridge to sell you.
  2. I actually think Enchantment is the better ship due to the much more expansive pool deck. Otherwise, while different classes, the 2 ships are pretty much interchangeable.
  3. C’mon. What I said was far different from saying it should be “just” BB King music.
  4. All of the above but probably the coolest thing I ever saw was a whale shark while anchored off Grand Cayman.
  5. Thank you for your honest review. At this point, I recommend stepping up to a different line before calling it quits altogether. I very much agree with the mdr criticism. I don’t even eat in RCIs mdr anymore. If you do try RCI again, consider a suite on the larger Quantum or Oasis Class. More free dining options and Coastal Kitchen is much better than the mdr.
  6. One would think that’s a duh statement but this is HAL - a line with a lounge called BB Kings that rarely, if ever, plays BB King music.
  7. Toys to hide for other passengers to find.
  8. Really? Now you’re telling people their preferred embarkation ports are wrong? This egocentrism really needs to stop. Seriously. Please stop.
  9. HAL is not what it used to be. They used to be a step up in service and dining but not anymore. Even pre-COVID, they started slipping. Itinerary and ship is a win win. Pick RCI on this one. I’ve cruised all but 1 Quantum Class ships and never did it feel like a mob scene. What a bunch of garbage. 🙄
  10. I’m not sure what you’re misunderstanding. What they said is crystal clear. RCI has 2 choices - fixed dining or my time dining. You can’t alternate. If the op knows he wants flexible dining, he should call and change it now. Taking a chance and waiting until on board is foolish.
  11. I’ve actually found it to be the opposite. With the big lines, I’ve found taste and service to be better on the older and smaller ships. The 2 lines I’ve found to be most consistent with excellent quality is Windstar and Viking Ocean. IMO, they are the gold standard of cruise dining. But then again, you certainly do pay for it. 🙂
  12. LOL! That is the plight of no one, ever. 🤣
