Mini fridges are also now empty, but don't really get things cold. Water was only slightly cool when kept in it.

If you are forfeiting an 'all you can eat meal' somewhere else on the ship, probably with a value of $35, the $35 charge for the Steakhouse is really making the cost of the meal $70 per person!
I think it is a bit of a rip off, considering you have already paid for free food during the cruise.
On NCL we paid $20 per person for a speciality restaurant and it turned out to be one of the worst restaurant meals we have ever had!
We walked out part way through and got a full refund!
Have you even tried the Carnival steakhouse?

We were on the Magic in August and had Cheers. Never had an issue. We usually tipped extra, 50c or $1, and went to the bar ourselves, never waited for service.

Also curious about Amber Cove.
Are there any nice beaches close by?
No beaches near Amber Cove, but the pool area is beautiful and almost makes up for the lack of a beach.

If the names don't match, it sounds like they kept their married name. Just because they're divorced doesn't mean they can't get the marriage license. Just go back to the town they lived at the time and get a copy.

I usually try to avoid carbs as much as I can, and had no problems at all on the Magic in August. I ate at Guy's a few times and just got the burger without a bun and ate it with a fork and knife after putting on fixings at the fixings bar. Can't remember if they had lettuce there.

Has anyone tried to call and find out why, rather than asking opinions here? Not the same bank, but my daughter was denied for her first credit card recently. Probably rightfully so since she's a full time student with little income and no credit history. She called and answered a few questions about who provides her support and was granted the card with a low credit limit, which was all she wanted. I know if I were denied a call with my 800+ s credit score, my first action would be to call the bank and ask why.

I don't think there is a separate "vegan menu". If you see the maitre d' or your head waiter, they can tell you which dishes to stay away from.

2 Bailey's with coffee, or 2 mimosas, or 2 bloody Mary's/screwdrivers for breakfast
3-4 say from noon-4
1-2 Martini's before dinner
1-2 drinks/glasses of wine with dinner
2 drinks at shows / just walking around after dinner
9- 12 drinks over a 12-14 hour period . Less than a drink an hour.
Your Cheers package is worth it.
This is true if you plan on drinking that much and stay on board to do it every day. What are you doing on port days? I consider myself a fairly heavy drinker, or at least heavier than my husband. We got Cheers and I just didn't think it was worth it. We loved not thinking about what we ordered, but I discovered my favorite drink is a mojito or wine with dinner and I didn't often have more than 5 a day. I think I probably broke even, but doubt my husband did. I loved the coffee shop though. Interestingly, my husband thought Cheers was well worth the cost. He loved just being able to grab a drink without thinking about price. It depends on what you drink and how much you think you'll consume. Only you can really decide if it's worth it for you.

Your best solution is to cancel cheers prior to cruising, then just pay the $5 per day higher price for the one person while on board.

do the drinks with more then 1 oz of alcohol like some in the alchemy bar count as more then one drink towards your 15/day total?
If it's on a bar menu, and is less than $50, it counts as one drink toward you 15. I believe if it's a custom order, they'd charge per shot toward the 15.

Hmmmm... we sailed Carnival in September and the lower max value was what I remember coming across. We didn't buy Cheers however so good to know for the future.

We made a 7pm reservation in advance via email. I don't think there are set times. It's more like making a reservation in a restaurant.

Aside from the embarkation benefit, there's also the special line at guest services. We didn't really need it much, but it was really nice not to have to wait in the other line which was always long. Having seen that benefit, I personally would pay for it for both cruises. But you may not feel it's worth it to you.

Last cruise we traveled the day after DD's 21st birthday, so our first stop was the lobby bar for drinks. Then we found the cabin and dropped off our bags, explored the ship a little and went to Cucina del Capitano for lunch when we got hungry.

The key word in their policy is "should". As long as you monitor them - and a diligent parent can, even if they're unaccompanied- you should be fine. You know your child best. If they can't be trusted without you, don't leave them alone.

I have no medical condition, I just hate crowds and chaos. That being said, I had no real problems on the Magic in August. Embarkation and debarkation were crowded, and I knew would be. But we boarded as early as we could and had FTTF which I think helped. I just avoided crowds. We spent a lot of time on deck 5 (promenade?) vs the Lido. Never crowded on the outside decks there. We ate in the MDR every meal and never the Lido buffet. Sought out quiet and private.

You were lucky as were some others but normally they don't budge on this. One thing you can count on with Carnival. They are consistently inconsistent on how they enforce their rules.

I think they were probably able to cancel the booking and maybe only lost a $50 deposit if they booked with a $50 deposit sale. Or they were charged the $50 to cancel and the rest of the deposit went toward a future cruise. Then, since there's room in the cabin, they were able to add another person. So, not exactly a switch but it accomplished the same result.

Not 100% sure, but I think I've read that they're closed while in port. The rooms may be open (for ironing) but not for washing. You could start right after the ship leaves port.

We were on the Magic in August. DD's boyfriend asked for Patron in every drink ordered and had no problems. We were at the Tequila bar most of the time.

From what I've read here it seems to be hit or miss. We were on the Magic in August and had the social media plan. All three of my kids had no problems with snap chat the entire week.

If you used a TA, chances are very good that Carnival won't talk to you and will only deal with the TA.

It's just outside the buffet area. No beverage machines next to Guys, but only a few steps away inside the buffet. Seating is inside at the buffet or outside. No specific searing for Guy's.
