shamrockace replied to Rick&Jeannie's topic in Princess Cruises
Agree. The journey view is useless. It needs to be completely redone. -

RESERVED THEATRE SEATING WITH THE NEW PACKAGES
shamrockace replied to CRUISE4TWO's topic in Princess Cruises
Well said. Weāve always booked an inside room and whenever someone would say, āno way could I cruise in an inside roomā Iād say, we get the same service as the suite people. Will we hear of reserved pool side chairs next? Oh wait, the sanctuaryā¦..never mind. If this was the titanic, I guess Iād go down with the ship. -
We booked an Antarctica cruise on Sapphire Princess for late January-early February. Before the packages go up in price, can anyone tell me if the internet connection on this voyage will work or would this be a waste of money? We are not drinkers but I could get the elite cost for internet.

Iām really not sure. The prime seats were roped off with an usher guarding them. -
We were also on this cruise with our DS, DIL, two small grands 8 & 6, and our grown granddaughter and her friend. The kids club was incredible and the littles loved it much better than Royal. The Thanksgiving Family Fun day was held in the Piazza and was a blast. Instead of the shows, which weāve seen numerous times, we did the trivia and game shows. I couldnāt say enough good things about Jayson (with a y) on the entertainment staff. He did some of the music trivia, some of the games, the dance classes and the exercise classes. Nicki did the rest of the trivia. She was sweet but not hilarious like Jayson and gave too much info away on questions. I had issues with the food. I donāt like seafood and Iām allergic to tree nuts. Princessā desserts all seem to have tree nuts. I couldnāt get regular cheesecake the days they had cheesecake with nuts. Iām afraid to eat in the buffet because you canāt tell what has nuts. The international cafe had awesome sandwiches. The only cookies with no nuts was chocolate chip or lemon and they didnāt have them everyday. Some days was nuts only cookies. we had a great time on this cruise. We spent plenty of time at the pool.

We recently booked a cruise by for Antarctica. They asked if I wanted the internet package. I would assume the internet would be poor in that area. Can anyone advise?

No one is talking about the reserved seating or the extra desserts. We cruised in November on Enchanted and noticed a reduction in dessert and food selections. Now youāll have to pay extra. weāve cruised on Royal Caribbean for our kids/grandkids and the reserved seating at events means 1/2 the seats are roped off from us regular people. It was one of the things I hated about Royal. That and you had to pre- schedule shows. Now Princess is following their lead. Leave Princess alone. -
Please, can anyone answer this question. I have a question for those who will be going on the India overland excursion regarding the Sri Lanka visa. On the Princess information page, it states that cruise ship passengers are considered "in transit" as long as they arrive and depart on the same ship and will not be restricted from going ashore. Does anyone know if the Sri Lanka ETA will be accepted for those of us who will be leaving Sri Lanka for India by air and not departing on the same ship we arrived on? On Sri Lanka visa information pages, I have seen travelers considered to be "in transit" as those who arrive by air and are continuing their travel by air and remain in the airport. But I have seen nothing about cruise ship passengers arriving one way and departing another. Do we need to get a different type of visa?? Thanks for any information. And, yes, I know we can't apply for anything until December11, which is 90 days before arrival in Sri Lanka.

Do adult dress up on princess for Halloween
shamrockace replied to goldengirl's topic in Princess Cruises
A friend of mine accidentally booked her family, including a young boy, on a bear cruise. She said they had to stay out of the adults only area. She also said she wished the cruise line would have made them aware with that booking. -
Do adult dress up on princess for Halloween
shamrockace replied to goldengirl's topic in Princess Cruises
We've been on ships 3- or 4-times during Halloween and it is always a blast. People and staff dress up, they decorate the atrium and on one cruise, they had a haunted hallway down in the belly of the ship that was so much fun. They had costume contests too. We've seen the Matre'd dressed as a sumu wrestler, bouncing against everyone. The casino staff dresses up too. So much fun! These were not group trips. We just booked a regular cruise and everyone was having fun. edited to add - all these were Caribbean cruises. -
What would you like to see added to the menu?

Cordon blu at least once. -
We are going on the world cruise and I go to sleep early and get up early while hubby stays up watching tv and sleeps in unless we have an excursion. While Princess is one of the best for tv programming, I'm still worried he will run out of things to watch. Has anyone ever used a firestick or tried it and if so, did it work and how well? Thank you

Iām 60 as is my hubby and we did it in February. We had a blast! Iām out of shape and fluffy and was worried but as the vendor tells you, ājust let go of the ropeā.
