  1. I can certainly see why they would want to use your photos! They’re awesome!
  2. Agree 100%. My DH refuses to eat in there. We do drop in from time to time to make up bowls of fresh fruit to snack on in our cabin. Occasionally they even have berries. I can always get berries in the MDR.
  3. Same with us. Never had a problem with food or service, always enjoyable. Just walking by the buffet and seeing all those people wandering around with their plates looking for tables and the constant noise is enough to put us off eating.
  4. Wow! You didn’t tell us you were a model! Simply gorgeous and elegant and classy….lovely wedding. Thank you for sharing your pics of your very special day.
  5. These cabins are about 1/3 or more covered by an overhang, which in itself is larger than a standard balcony. The rest is open. Fabulous viewing for Alaska.
  6. The railing and wall at the front of the balcony is metal instead of plexiglass, so sitting down near the sliding door would only give you a distant view of the water. You would need to stand up to see below you. These balconies hold probably 12 people easily! Please go to YouTube and search obstructed deluxe balconies. Try all Royal class ships: Royal, Regal, Majestic, Enchanted, Discovery, Sky. These cabins are the same. Now, you have to keep in mind your location. You will feel more motion up front and it can get quite windy by the railing while at sea. If you sit farther back towards the door, it’s fine. When docked its is a perfect mix of both sun and shady areas. You will also have to turn off the balcony lights in the evening because it impacts the view from the bridge. These are great cabins for adults to be able to stretch out on the balcony and still be able to sleep three. We also love Lido deck and its proximity to the the pool and buffet. It’s also super quiet! Good luck! Any questions, I’d be happy to answer.
  7. The sofa bed in the deluxe balcony is really meant for a child, a teen or small adult. My husband is smaller then this gentleman and he would definitely be cramped. Yes, smaller than a twin. It does not pull out into a full bed like a standard sofa bed would. I’m assuming you are three adults in the cabin. This would be a bit tight for my liking but some folks clearly make it work. With that many adults would you consider the far forward obstructed balconies on Lido and Marina deck? Huge balconies that would have three chairs and a large dining table. L101 and L102 are super large balconies and it would give you basically another room. We’ve sailed in these cabins many times and love them. Just a thought.
  8. Since you will be sailing on Majestic Princess you would have to book a Deluxe Balcony stateroom or Obstructed Deluxe Balcony stateroom. To be clear, the love seat does not really convert to a full bed, it’s just big enough for one person, barely. If you require a full bed for one or two people, you would have to book a mini suite. It’s a full size three seater sofa, so very comfortable to sit on to watch tv or enjoy coffee/snacks. Even though there are only two of us, we much prefer a mini suite because of the extra living space, larger bathroom and ample storage spaces. The separated bed and living spaces feels quite spacious. If there are three of you and you can afford it, then I would personally go for the mini.
  9. Canadian here and we had Platinum coverage for a sailing we had to cancel 2 weeks prior to our sailing in September. We used cancel for any reason protection and received 100% FCC within four days. We did not have flights with EZAir.
  10. Awesome! It’s going to be a terrific cruise!
  11. Thank you. This constant nit picking by people who don’t want or can’t afford the packages for themselves, is getting tiresome. We don’t have to justify to anyone why we choose either Plus or Premier. From now on we need to just ignore these posts.
  12. I haven’t had one. I probably won’t try one even though we have unlimited with our Premier package.
  13. Rest assured nobody is going to commit the sin of sharing ice cream on my watch. lol
  14. Please read my post #44. Thank you for your concern. I’ll try not to get thrown off the ship at the next port or sent to the brig for insubordination. 😂
  15. Cunard is not perfect, either. I’ve heard some disappointing responses from loyal passengers. I wouldn’t recommend trying another line based on one ship’s not so perfect experience. We were a tad disappointed in our last Celebrity cruise, but we’ll continue to sail with them. The same goes for Princess. If it becomes a problem, then we’ll look at our options.
  16. I love that cruising offers us so many options and there’s always something for everyone. Happy sailings to you both!
  17. Rarely do we eat in the buffet for any meal. It’s just not appealing to us. We like to sit at a table with a tablecloth and linens and order off of a menu. So nice to be served first thing in the morning and such a lovely way to start the day. I often order something not on the menu, like the waffle, cottage cheese and berries, with no problem. We both love the IC, but not for breakfast. The food is delicious but I hate wandering around holding a tray to find a seat and the having to go back if you forget something. For daytime snacks on the go, it’s perfect! Try the MDR and I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t become your favourite reakfast venue. Your wife, I’m sure, will enjoy it very much.
  18. We don’t eat bacon or sausage, but we do occasionally have poached eggs on whole wheat toast. Most of the time it’s oatmeal or muesli with fruit. I also enjoy a waffle with cottage cheese and berries. And coffee! I prefer latte or cappuccino.
  19. I guess we were lucky, both of ours went through as complimentary. The bill showed the price and the total payable was zero.
