  1. We can't wait to be back onboard again. This is just one more reason. I expect to be able to report my success (or not!) around 2 July.
  2. But that's the thing. I can't believe all of Carnival's divisions are as incompetent as Cunard. You'd think they'd share some IT expertise when needed.
  3. Thanks for that confirmation. I think I'm going to like this change, if I game it properly.
  4. This thing is 2" on a side, and weighs nothing. It lets us create our own private wifi network. I'm actually thinking that, if I power it with an external battery (like used for recharging phones) I might be able to set it in the hallway, where the wifi signal is stronger, and thus repeat the signal to our cabin. That would prevent me from having to sit in the hallway to get a decent signal. I'm really looking forward to trying that.
  5. The radio buttons for table size and bed arrangement have been broken for so long I'd forgotten about them. That's really such an obvious issue that you'd think that would have been fixed long ago.
  6. If you're heading to Vegas, keep in mind the tests have to stay relatively cool. Make sure they're not in your luggage sitting out in the sun!
  7. Thanks, that's a valuable tip. I mostly need to be online during weekdays. Our next trips leaves on a Friday, so I'll be able to access the terrestrial network that day, and really won't need wifi until Monday. At that point, if the 'entire voyage' plan is still available I might grab it.
  8. That's a useful tip. I've already plotted out which days we'll use wifi on our next two trips, taking port days into account. And, because there are two of us, we can use our World Club benefits end-to-end. Buying the plan for the entire voyage would only allow one World Club benefit to be applied. I realize that the plan only allows one device, but I have a tiny portable travel router that would let us share a plan.
  9. In December it was a simple questionnaire, with a bunch of yes/no binary questions: Do you have any COVID symptoms, have you been near anyone known to have COVID, etc. The only time my test results were consulted were by the clerk at the check-in kiosk.
  10. As everyone else has pointed out, while there is no dedicated luggage space on the train, it's easy enough to find homes for your luggage. We had already been in England about a week before we sailed, so we had fairly large roller suitcases, as well as assorted other paraphernalia we'd accumulated during our visit. Here's a photo of all our stuff, at the hotel as we were leaving for the train...
  11. Perhaps it's the Australian version of the website that has issues? We two US travelers were able to update our emergency contacts' info in 'My Cunard'. That yours is worded 'Close Contacts' implies the logic might be slightly different, although you'd think they'd be pretty similar, with small variations in postal code, etc.
  12. It's been since December when I did mine so my memory is not perfectly clear on it, but I honestly don't think the declaration deals with the test at all. It's all yes and no questions: Have you been near anyone who had COVID, do you have any symptoms, etc. Someone who has sailed more recently can confirm.
