Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Our last several cruises, we left the suit at home. We fly to the port as well. We take black long sleeve dress shirt, slacks, shoes and belt. Top it off with a tie that matches my dress, or at least is neutral color. He looked really nice. The black looks great in pictures too if you are so inclined to have some taken. Whatever you choose will be fine. Comfort is also important to enjoying an evening. Although, pushing the casual attire on 'formal night' and getting turned away at the door would be a bummer.
  2. Thank you, all good points. I will probably get the wifi pkg. My mom is 93 and still lives in her home and is in good health, but I want to keep track. She does well using smart phone and computer, so she texts or emails me at least twice a day. (TMI? :))
  3. I've appreciated this thread. I understand better the different plans. I like to have Wifi, DH can live with out it. We don't drink any coffee or alcohol. DH likes Pepsi, but in the past we've always brought it onboard with us. Bottled water would be nice, as well as gratuities paid ahead. Desserts don't interest me, but DH might have one a day and the premium ones are not important (he just wants chocolate). I'd rather walk around the promenade deck than to go to the gym. Juice bar, eh... maybe. So, doing the math, Not sure Plus is a good choice for us. Thoughts? We are both Platinum, if that matters.
  4. I really appreciate all the information and advice. I have a better understanding of how things will be. I haven't book yet, but I will soon. Thank you for taking the time to answer.
  5. I am trying to figure this out. We haven't cruised in the last 4 years and so much has changed. I understand the Plus and Premier packages to purchase, but don't need some of the perks. In the past since we are Platinum level, we got wifi for free. Is that still true or is there a charge now by purchasing a package or is there a way to just get Wifi alone and as this says at 50% off? What is the price? This is what I copied off the Princess website: “Platinum Membership Benefits A lot of travel deserves a lot of benefits.
