  1. The 'pay for' coffee bar is on Deck #2 forward.
  2. You're fine. I'd imagine it's a limitation with the software in your unique situation. You ARE fully vaxxed for a typical domestic cruise. You are NOT 'up to date' but that only affects the required timing of your Covid test. Simply take your CDC card and a printout of your negative test results to the port. We've cruised 6 times since the restart..... never used VeriFly once. Just make sure all your paperwork contains the required info.
  3. Yep, all at the discretion of Medical Services nowadays. As others have said, when we B2B2B back in February, they tested us for free the day before disembarkation of each leg. If your cabin phone didn't ring for 30 minutes, you were told to assume you were good.
  4. What I can tell you is that the first Princess cruises to Alaska rolled off at about 50%. There's a crap ton of ships in the market this year. But it's only May and those promos were outstanding.
  5. Of all the things mentioned, the Seaday filet is most disappointing to me. It was probably my #1 'go to'. I'd certainly get it at least once a cruise. What I may do is splurge for a $20 steak at dinner one night instead. Also, if your ship ever does a one time Seaday brunch up in the steakhouse for a fee...... DO IT. Absolutely outstanding at a very fair up-charge price.
  6. So here's the reality of today's hyperinflation times. Carnival (and every other company for that matter) simply has to balance their product offering with their pricing model. Like every single company, they do that to the best of their ability using the best analytics they can come up with. They need to be able to sell cruise cabins (easier and certainly more expensive during the peaks of Spring Break and summer vacation but much harder at other times) AND they need to make a profit while doing it. It's entirely possible that the blend they come up with no longer meets the expectation of some of its clientele. So be it. They'll migrate to another product. And do understand that Carnival will continue to tweak their offering always trying to find the 'sweet spot'. That's much tougher these days in these uncertain times. I'm going to bet they are already modeling what to do when the inevitable deep recession hits sometime in the next 12-24 months. Decisions like that aren't about filet at Seaday Brunch, they're about ship building cancellation costs. Time will tell.
