  1. Those crew that are allowed off the ship in Brisbane get a free crew shuttle to the city, at least on the ships I am aware of. For our last 2 port days in Brisbane, passenger shuttles have been available (P&O and Princess). The QLD govt has little to gain financially from passengers going into Brisbane. Their part was to build a facility that cruise ships larger than Pacific Explorer could dock at. It is a fine terminal. Brisbane Council - your turn.
  2. The only hint on the menu sits with the Surf & Turf. I usually have relied on the waiter asking me, as I would often forget until it hits the table. It is usually a choice of peppercorn, jus (demi glaze), bearnaise. Princess' own Crown Grill picture shows a juicy T-bone with peppercorn gravy/sauce
  3. OK for you. You wear your bikini 😂 I agree. There is an element of that everywhere, including most ships. Cruising in general isn't quite what it was in 2019, so you may as well remain loyal to what you have enjoyed in the past in the hope that it returns someday soon. I nearly took a bite at one of Quantum's loft suites yesterday, but then got very much sidetracked with Carnival Lumnosa's prices - I could do a month in one of their Ocean suites for the same dollars as 4 nights in a Sky Loft. To the OP, keep an open mind. I look forward to your posts in a couple of weeks time.
  4. While cruising, a friend used to vigorously polish his apple each morning on his wife's hip. It took a few days of the quarantine beagle singling her out until the penny dropped.
  5. I would have said they were mad not to use the new facility at Airlie Beach, which handled an almost as large Majestic Princess well for us a few months ago. But, looking at Quantum's tracker, she did indeed anchor off Shute Harbour on Sunday. It may be possible that they can actively tender with more boats or less speed restrictions at Shute Harbour.
  6. Just to add. Princess is specifically asking that your photo ID, passport in this case, be included in the photo. Just writing your name on paper isn't sufficient. That is the current requirement, as I had to accept those terms on the personaliser yesterday for our cruise next month.
  7. I did get gravy with my steak for at least one of my sittings in Bayou. I can't recall if the waiter asked or if I requested it. The fancy salts weren't on the menu either. I didn't get any in August, but don't know if it was available if I asked. I did have the salts on the plate when we were back aboard in October. For most things on Princess, ask and you will normally receive.
  8. These are the prices I am seeing for much of the remaining cruises of the season. The last one is a doozy.
  9. The same inclusive dining options on Explorer as was for Encounter. There are some menus that were posted here over the past 6 months if you have a dig. The same menus have been in place for more than 5 years now, so likely to still be the same in December. I will see if I can find a room service menu. We might have bought one home with us last year. There were also photos of drink menus floating around here a few months back. Seems the initial P&O buzz following the resumption has slipped away, and there is not much P&O chatter here either. Drink and specialty restaurant prices will be dearer in December that they currently are.
  10. Anonymous pills can be a potential hassle, especially in quantity. Rather than taking them out of big bottles, we just travel with blister strips. The branding is on the strips, and they don't take up much weight or space.
  11. One of the benefits of the voucher system. Previously, there would have been no extra benefit to having access to both Diamond Lounge and Concierge Lounge. Yes, now you can have your evening drinks in Concierge Lounge, and still have your vouchers to use during the rest of the day/night.
  12. Currently, there are no low-cost airlines in Australia. But yes, Jetstar is the cheaper option.
  13. Good answer above. Also, the concierge desk at Four Seasons is usually legendary. They will give you a walking map and might be able to offer some closer alternatives.
  14. Because of your beetles they swapped the itineraries around, where possible, so that they do Mystery (or is it Misery) Island before Vila. I presume they didn't end up tendering at Mystery Island (again), and their extra day in Vila appears to be turning into a return to Noumea for tomorrow.
  15. It depends on your suite. It is included for Sky & Star class suites.
  16. That does look disappointing. Without making a fuss, head waiter on Star Princess insisted on Barb having another meal or being refunded. Thankfully we have had rather edible offerings since, but even on the same Coral, cruise one night was sensational and the other just a pass mark.
  17. Eggs or raw egg products would be a definite no. Processed snacks where the egg has been cured/cooked would normally be OK. Just declare it on the card, Italian pasta is hardly a travel snack and could be prohibited if it had raw ingredients.
  18. Have your brulee's each night, and add a couple of these each day on the pool deck 😲
  19. Yeah, Indian Ocean Circle. It has been a while since they have done that, and overdue for another shot. They did a few Pacific Circles, so those must have been a bit easier to sell.
  20. Get a premier package so you can have unlimited sugar-loaded desserts on top of your alcohol poisoning, then roll off the ship to visit Dr Jenny Craig.
