I don't know if anyone complained about the shuttle bus situation. I can only say that there was lots of disquiet about it.

We also encountered a bit of a shambles concerning the shuttle bus in Valencia. Upon exiting the terminal we were actually discussing using using local transit with an ENT worker when a woman came over who, thankfully, had identified us as Azamara cruisers and directed us to the shuttle. No problem boarding the shuttle at the exit to the old city.

We put the problem down to the company contracted for the service; their drivers/officers seemed a rather surly lot.

There was also a problem re-embarking, this time created by the port authority. There were signs for Azamara cruisers to follow, but security officers were preventing us from following those indicators as there was a long line of MSC passengers queued up for embarkation in the same area.

Only by frantically waving our seapasses and ignoring the glowering officers and MSC cruisers were we able to get expeditious re-entry.

The line-up for MSC reminded us of the efficiency of Azamara boarding.

I felt sorry for the MSC passengers,it was a long bus ride to the ship, also had to turn a group around heading for the Quest. We had no problems with the shuttle this was about 11.00 ,the miele had died down, enjoyed the cruise but it was tiring towards the end

  2. filled in survey, gave my views on art auctions, seemed to me what could they drop and what would you pay extra for,i agree the shots bar was a random question

questions about the lunch time food in the restaurants looked interesting, wait and see

  3. Reading the list,it looks like machine sodas only,i like vodka and bitter lemon, also what about the cabin sodas are they going to be chargeable, list has been really scaled down is it a ruse to get people to upgrade,i wont go into our experience on RCI with drinks packages

  4. Have i missed something,do the prices included gratuties or are they added at what rate,Rearly drink sprits or cocktails so wont make a big difference for us

  5. Well I guess from tonicgate we go to teagate! It depends on your preference, but PG Tips is my favourite ordinary tea at home and you won’t get that on the ship. I drink herbal tea a lot now, especially mint and both the Twinings and Field Select both do great for me. The Twinings Ginger and Lemon is pretty good too. No issues. If I take note of what my mum used to say then it’s all about the quality of the water and its boiling temperature and warming of the pot. That is more problematic to achieve;)

  6. We did the stagecoach bus tour about 2 weeks ago, there was an open top bus and a coach,it was a nice way to get around, you have to buy the tickets from the office at the bus station, not the shop, its also a full day ticket so if you want you can vist the chapel later in the day,

There were 2 stops one for 1.30 and another for 30 min,the driver did give some commentary but he is not a guide

Some people on the open top bus got on our coach as it was cold

  7. We caught the bus to Inverness,Its the 25 and x25 cost £10 which is an all day ticket,we left at approx 10.30 There are 2 bus stops in the main street, coming back was a crush as we were in port with a large princess ship which was leaving at 17.00,We were at anchor and didnt leave till 22.00 ,we left Inverness at 15.00 as the weather was a bit grim, someone recommended a walk along the river ness, the information shop in Inverness was very helpful as were the guides at the pier, you can also catch the train but it doesnt run that often
