The catacombs were eye opening to say the least,bizarre but worth the walk from the dock :):)

some ships dock just outside the town,on our celebrity cruise the shuttle was free,dropped off at the ferry terminal,there was a ferry boat shuttle that was 2 euro :)

we had lunch on our sea days,nice and relaxing ,

also another place to sit and relax after 3 when its closed,especially if its sunny but windy, we also used the area outside the art studio, to sit and watch the world go by :):)

If your looking for a lunch,John Lewis has a restaurant in West Quays centre with good views over Southampton,

That would be 30 min inside the bazaar and 2.30 sitting out side;),3 hrs is far to long

there is also an ASDA store close by

We walked up to the Catacombs ,the catacombs were an intresting if not eerie place to vist,we stopped at a road side cafe and were made really welcome,on the walk back down we took a detour thro the main shopping streets (it was sunday so most were shut result) as said the traffic is hetic but no worse than Naples :eek::)

Have had price reductions on cruises when booking direct,after the final pay date its a different story :),

Its a nice pleasent stroll around the harbour,its well worth a vist,we were pleasently suprised,also they take photos as you go in and they were included in the price when we visted which we didnt know so brushed them aside :)

will look foreward to that,we are looking at a courtyard suite next year,have done a 1 nite cruise on her :):)

We upgraded to premium and could have any drink on menu in the passport bar,some cocktails at 11.50$ ,also the list of sprits is so long it includes virtually every thing .It cost 11.50£ per day inc tip which was good value,my beer of choice is Becks which is no longer included along with draft,last year we found the classic more than adequate

Just back from the Reflection,had an inclusive drinks package,the biggest change was the Becks beer is no longer included nor was draft beer ,

also they were busy changing every menu so some were at the old prices and some at the new,everyone was confused,we upgraded 1 package :)

Also the room service prices increased and all the dining prices were put up,bistro on 5 is now $7 so is the porche in fact every thing increased even cafe bacco prices :(:(

Had a shock in Mykonos last week,a FREE celebrity shuttle bus yes FREE :):)

There is also a boat shuttle for 2 euros that runs from harbour to harbour

Weve been on ,PO ,MSC ,NCL ,Thomson and Azamara all got good and not so god points,we cruisse for the itenary then the line,have done quite a few with celeb,mostly ex UK :):) almost forgot RCCL

WE did on ours, the 1st day started at 6.30 to get off the ship the tour started at 7.30 and finished at 18.00 so a long day :) ( had breakfast at 5.30 )we was on a celebrity cruise so cant really comment on PO timings

Its also to try and control the car traffic,as there are roads works in Southampton which cause havoc on change over days,Apparently you drop your bags and explore Southampton if you are early,:):)

WE used SPB tours,very well organised tour,2 long days and hectic,included a ride on the hydrofoil,subway ride,and a vist to a local market along with a lot more must sees:)

We wil do a land trip to St petersburg as there is so much to see and do

Quarr Abbey nr Ryde maybe also a lot of buildings in Ryde look like castles,ie Ryde Castle hotel

We enjoyed our lunches in the libary,its got a wide choice,good views and very reasonable price wise,

Also look at visting the Amesbury ring,its like Stonehenge but you can still walk amongst the stones :)

5 euros instead of 4 :)

If using a chip n pin card, make sure that you cover your pin when entering and dont write it down and keep it in your wallet,also dont ever give it to a helpful bystander :(:( even in a supermarket

Swipe and pay cards are being introduced in the UK ,but only for small amounts,coffee shops etc have them ,There have been horror stories some of which are urban legends :)
