  1. Have a great cruise Abby and Glen! Look forward to your posts for the rest of the cruise. We board Eclipse in August, so all your tips and observations will be appreciated!
  2. Yes, but no set time for breakfast or dinner. Go to Blu on your schedule.
  3. Charla, thank you for the great live review from a solo point of view!
  4. 5waldos, please do not be concerned about a focus on what cabin class one has booked or made to feel like a second class passenger. As many have already noted, you will have a great cruise to Alaska! And welcome to the Celebrity Cruises family!
  5. My favorite is the 25th Anniversary Martini. Perhaps now its simply called Anniversary Martini?
  6. Yes, 45 days in you can start check in process.
  7. Jim, thanks for the check in information and tips! We will be checking in later this week for our August Alaska cruise. Agree that when check in becomes active, it makes the cruise real!
  8. The only cruise related offers I currently have for my platinum card are NCL (spend $500 get $125 back) and Regent Seven Seas Cruises (get +5 Membership Rewards points per eligible dollar spent).
  9. WrittenOnYourHeart, I believe you are correct. As noted by Wikipedia: they prevent chafing from sliding on and off of the waxed surface of a surfboard. A surfboard's wax holds sand from the beach that can rub against a surfer while paddling out to the break, or legs while sitting atop one's board. I too discovered the advantages of wearing "technical" clothing outdoors and switch from cotton years ago. Wearing rash guards or swim shirts are key to protecting yourself from the Sun. Even my DW switched to wearing these during our recent trip to Hawaii.
  10. Okay for our upcoming Vancouver-Alaska-Vancouver cruise where we are arriving by plane to Vancouver a few days before the cruise, we will need to do the following? 1. Submit a ArriveCan application to cover both myself and DW within 72 hours of boarding our flight to Canada. 2. Submit a ArriveCan application or a second entry point to cover both myself and DW within 72 hours of boarding our Vancouver-Alaska-Vancouver cruise. Thanks to everyone here for posting helpful information and yes I will check out the Canadian Cruisers board as well. Last summer we had to fill out a similar form before flying to Hawaii.
  11. To bring this back on track, one less thing for DW and I to worry about when flying back from Vancouver after our August Alaska cruise! We have started to fly Premium Economy, better seats, more leg room, and fewer people around us. Not yet able to afford first class as we have not entered the SKI trip phase. Perhaps after we retire...
