  1. Never had a noise problem and being near the elevators and stairs can be convenient.
  2. Getting an Uber or taxi when disembarking can be a pain. That said, if there is space in the garage it is very easy. If time waiting for transport back to a hotel is not an issue it probably would be less expensive to park there and Uber.
  3. He did. Been in touch with him.
  4. You no longer need to do the ArriveCan!
  5. From Oceania today: We have an important update to the travel requirements for voyages embarking to or from Canada. Effective October 1, 2022, guests will no longer need to: · Submit travel plans via ArriveCAN · Provide proof of vaccination · Provide a negative Covid-19 test result or undergo embarkation day testing These requirements affect Insignia’s October 1, October 11, and October 21 voyages.
  6. My travel agent says we do not now need to test before boarding the ship in the US with stops in Canada. From the latest Sail Safe document: For Voyages Calling in Canada but embarking elsewhere: • All travelers aged 12 and older must be Fully Vaccinated to enter Canada via cruise ship due to strict Canadian quarantine regulations for unvaccinated travelers. • Travelers under age 5 are not subject to any cruise line vaccination protocols. • Boosters are not required to qualify as Fully Vaccinated.
  7. Am I understanding correctly that now if we start in the US and tour and disembark in Canada we do not need to pretest to board? (October NYC to Montreal) And yes, the Arrivcan app is already on the phone...I know we for sure need that!
  8. Don't most apps require wifi? With one wifi account per stateroom, it would be of limited advantage to me on the ship when the TV has all the info I need.
  9. My travel agent just let me know. Supply chain issues and soft goods will not arrive in time. She said Oceania would be notifying clients officially around noon today. Sad. An inaugural cruise was on our bucket list.
  10. Benefit is $100 for cruises 7-14 days and $250 for 15 days or more.
  11. Applies to all tours once 5 or more are booked.
  12. Maybe more folks are using the Oceania excursions. With the O Life option the pricing isn't as high as it once was. We still join the roll calls when we are sailing, but it is not like the old days (especially pre-covid) when lots of folks were looking for others to join private tours.
