Can't say how Edge will be but I was on the Infinity. Really easy to find whatever you want/need at the buffet. Grilled vegetables and stir-fry always on option at lunch and dinner. Gluten-free bread available there too. MDR has options if you request them. Can always contact Celebrity before sailing about your dietary needs.

Got back from canal on Infinity. We had table for 2 every night in MDR. We were seated next to 3 other tables for 2 and we all became great friends! Was better than I ever expected!! We just showed up about the same time and they took us to the same set of tables every night.

thanks, everyone. I believe we will do the shore excursion offered by Celebrity to the fortress. It all sounds wonderful so will just have to come back another time. (maybe in the summer!!) Thanks for helping make my decision!

Has anyone done either of these tours and have an opinion of them? The Highland Village or the fortress of Louisborg? Both have characters in costume for explaining how things were in the 1700-1800's. We are debating on which one might be better. Any help? This will be early Oct '18.

My children were raised on Celebrity, then when they got to be teenagers we switched to RCCL. They actually preferred the kids club on Celebrity. Smaller groups and they met friends who they hung around with the entire cruise. RCCL was just too crowded and the employees didn't know the kids personally where they will on Celebrity.

This is helping so much in our plans. We wondered if it was possible to run in Friday night even for few hours. Safe? Where does the famous museum of natural history fit into all this?

I knew ya'll would answer but these are such great ones! Full of info and tidbits! Thanks so much. I now have a point for reference and research. Hubby only requested we do the One World Tower so the rest is up to me.....!!! My grandparents came through Ellis Island so that's on the list besides SOL. 2 must sees. Anything else?

Not familiar with the area at all. This is our situation : We want to fly Southwest air into LGA. Tour NYC on the Hop on hop off type bus (see the new one world tower) . Stay overnight and then go to Cape Liberty for cruise on Celebrity. Should we fly into EWR and tour NYC from that side or the NY side? Where is most convenient for touring and then getting to cruise. Need something easy if possible!! Hotel suggestions too! A heartfelt thanks !!

Was on this cruise. Sat near the lady one afternoon. She told group it was husbands dog. Few minutes later she left and he said it was her dog. At least get your lies straight!! Definitely just a spoiled pet for a spoiled wife.

Same happened to us. I had my travel agent call and she got us a concierge class room with the 2 perks we booked from an original Oceanview.

We heard there was a fight in the martini bar or also rumor of domestic violence. The other party was stationed on our deck9. You are correct about the security, round the clock with clip boards. (that was weird!) Apparently, being an inside room, they let the person out 2x a day, escorted by security. A man was seen leaving with his luggage in Colon, Panama. Escorted off first stop.
-
Prices fell for some categories after final payment. We were able to go from an ocean view to concierge class guarantee at no additional money. Kept our beverage package and gratuity. Worth the call to see. We used a travel agent so she made the call for us.

Royal's Freedom of the seas has the cartoon characters for the kids, besides the kids club. Water park for the kids too. So does the Allure. Shows to entertain all ages. Done both for family reunions and it worked great for everyone !

Was steward name Marguerite? We were on 2 RCI cruises with her. Once she was our steward and the worst service ever and only time in all our years. (Since the 90's). Laughed couple years later when we saw her again. Thrilled she was not our steward!

Don't forget to take time out to relax. On these big ships, entertainment is nonstop!

It was on Princess. Lady wore a different sequin colored dress every night. Same dress cut, just different colors for 7 nights. She looked nice but strange when it's fixed dining and you eat with same people every night.

Deck plans can be deceiving. That's why I posted to experienced travelers. The c3 catagory might be all the same but those on back sides of infinity look larger than those on side slightly more forward. I'd like to avoid connecting but those two are my choices.

Are the c3 cabins near the aft end of the ship larger than those on the sides? Deck 9 also c3. Can't tell from diagram. Have option of 9141 or 9152.

Did you use a travel agent? We call ours and they deposit it in our onboard account for us (or for those receiving the gift). Check with your TA.

Kids on Infinity?
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
If they don't like a kid's club program, then Celebrity would be out. If they do like to become involved in the kid's club, it will be great. Kids all seem to enjoy it as smaller number of kids. They do a great job with the program! (My children preferred Celebrity kids program over RCCL's but only on the Freedom class and smaller)
