Thanks but that list just shows the brands available not what drinks are available. Like mudslides, Miami vice, etc..
Dont worr. You can get all the drinks you want. Just not top shelf, draft beer and Perrier (for whatever reason that may make sense).
It works fine.

and maybe the attitude we travel with.....

That's funny how you mention that. With age, experiences, whatever you call it, I'm probably pickier than most. Few restaurants overly impress me but the services does.
The best nights are fun atmosphere, fun staff and good (doesn't have to be great) food.

God, I love these suggestions as they make me look forward to the 15th :)
OK, maybe not but still looking forward to another adventure in my life....but still another decade down the path.
Thank you all, Randy
Another good thing is I have a week in SXM in the spring in a condo. Another first!

Cruise docked overnight, my 60th B'Day. Never spent evening in St. M, Any suggestions for fun, celebratory dinner?
-
Would suggest answering to what you know. There are no Walmarts in St. Martin..... Not much help to people needing real info.

On an island this small, not necessary to worry about missing the boat. Book something independent or just go out of port as there are a gazillion cabs to hire. I prefer Orient beach as its a good beer drinking, beach day with easy transportation. IMHO, Maho beach = no big deal but to each their own......

Hi, can you recommend a good TA? I know you can't do this on this board but could you email me? Is it ok to post my email address? Thanks
I know you've been chastised by the group on this one but just use a well known one and you'll be fine.
I've used cruise planners and online TA's and have never had a bad experience. Probably the only planner that I didn't care for was X's as they could have cared less and not very helpful. Luckily, I normally know what I want and use some of their knowledge for cabin selection and the like.

I pick my cruises and lines based totally upon itinerary and price. I have as much loyalty to a cruise line as they have to me - none.
DON
Ditto as this is my thoughts exactly. I prefer some lines but not enough to be loyal to them.

The President of the United States earns $400,000. + $100,000 for other expenses. Go Figure.
1) As to the president, what difference does that make?
2) Who cares what CEO's make?
Book a cruise with a line if the price is right and the experience is right. If it's not go somewhere else. Accordingly, I have not booked a NCL for some time - it's not like a compare salaries then decide .
Not sure why anyone would get excited or waste time worrying about what other's make. I'm not sure why it is now everyone's business what everyone's salaries are.

I'm so sorry to hear about your monkey experience. I have a friend named Ricky who has a sweet little monkey named Cindy that he takes to the beaches on cruise ship days. She is a member of his family, treated with love and respect. If you are looking to interact with a monkey she is the one to meet. I love her to pieces. I'm a huge animal lover and hate to see animals mistreated in ANYWAY, I assure you she is not. She is well loved and cared for.
Why would he take the monkey to the beaches on cruise ship day? Not buying it.

One stateroom attendant told us that they are having to decide who gets clean sheets on turn around day and who does not.
I would suggest one cannot always believe everything one hears.....

***? There's great barbers in Nashville. Just use the ship's if you need to. I plan on two weeks out on mine......

The only experience that we have ever had with our head waiter (2 cruises) is the night before last he comes over and sees if everything has gone well. (Looking to cement his tip I presume?)
Exactly. I have nothing to do with HW's nor do I want contact with them. They provide little value to me.

If anything, I've been disappointed without longer cruises from Nov-Dec as the cruise lines must not take into consideration of us employed folks needing to burn vacation time before end of year. Last year "X" for 11 days, this year, Princess 10 day, next year looks like all inclusive in MX.
-
Very interested in learning from a first hand cruiser how Princess Cays is doing. We are scheduled to visit there on Dec 7th.
IMHO, all of the private islands are sea days' not worth leaving the boat.
-
Methinks you worry too much. Seems like anytime suits you fine. Don't overthink.

Never had a bag go missing on the ship but did once see one of ours in front of a different cabin door. Someone in the past recommended taking pictures of everything going into each bag before you leave home. Also helps for airline processing.
Huh? A photo means next to nothing.......read the passenger contract for limits. . Just because you had a $1,000 in a suitcase means nothing without insurance.

Just off the ship last week ...
Just to correct the smoking vs non - the casino is smoking - but a few night after 6:00pm they are not
Thank God. Some sanity still abounds.
-
I agree never seen them on sale after day 2.
It's on their website. Buy first two days, no pro-rate
-
Correction to OP: on X, you pay the difference if you have the premium package. If you have classic you pay for the entire drink.
-
All Princess ships are pretty much the same. At least on all our cruises.
I would agree. Each year my late nights do dwindle though

If their hard ice cream is only sold at a specialty cafe, I guess they don't stock a separate inventory just for shakes (you can't really make a malt shake out of soft serve mix).
DQ does it for a living..... Anyway, one should always research anything before buying.
I like shakes/malts but it would be no reason for me to buy a package. OP disregards the other benefits received though.....

The Piazza used to be a place to meet friends, have a conversation, have a quiet drink and a snack, and just enjoy the beauty of the décor. Not any more--especially on Royal Princess. Now it is a practically non-stop entertainment/event venue. I can understand holding the Captain's party, the champagne waterfall, and a few other big events there; but the near-constant parade of singers, jugglers, acrobats, etc. etc. has driven me out.
My take is there are plenty of places to drink and converse. My complaint has always been a lot of the fun ends at ten, then ship turns dull and quiet.
Obviously, to each their own.
Forced to choose Late Dining
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Doubt it as Anytime is typically the most popular option. Personally, I don't do set dining times and over the last ten or so cruises I only use lines that offer Anytime or whatever they call it.
