  1. Thank you ! This helps that there may be hope…lol appreciate the info thank you
  2. I will certainly verify with the ship on board - but we have a 5 and 7 yr old grandsons. They are pretty tight, could be an issue, but has anyone asked to keep their kids together in the same group in the kids club ? ( the 5 yr old would be with 3-5 age , brother will be in 6-8 I think) and …we thought we would take the boys to the beach in Grand Cayman while the parents snorkelled on an excursion . Anyone had an issue taking their grandkids off themselves ? I do see why this would be a concern, but just thought the parents could enjoy a few hours to themselves. thank you in advance…hubby and I cruise all the time by ourselves, lol but this is a whole new ball game bringing the family ahahahha Brockmom
  3. We are doing a 4 nighter on Brilliance and wanted one nice dinner. What would you recommend Chops or Chefs dinner ( and is it worth it?) which night should I choose ? Is there one night that we won’t miss out on things in the main dining room ? much thanks
  4. Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for all the information. I sent my request off yesterday morning and it was done before bedtime. worked like a charm ! how nice to have all you wonderful connections to info! cheers Brockmom
  5. Thank you for all the great suggestions! My daughter and family are joining us on a 5 day cruise with only carry ons so really needed the dress code for the boys, so appreciate that info. We would like the children to get a taste of what the dinning room is like ( and have been working on the manners lol) but they are active boys so not sure how long they will manage sitting. I know the servers will do whatever we need and we will figure things out as needed. Appreciate all the ideas. Thank you ! Brockmom
  6. Thank you in advance for more than one question I am sure I will have. How does the main dinning room work with young ones? I have seen families with little ones feed them first, then have one parent take them to the kids club and return to the dinning room to join the rest of the table and finish the meal. Is that the norm ? Does the kids club serve snacks if they are hungry between meals ? how does it work ? and the dress code for a 5 and 7 yr old,? thank you. Brockmom
  7. Thank you both ! I was thinking if they got off early the 11:45 would be do able. just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a nightmare airport. much appreciated
  8. Hello all My family has never flown in / out of Tampa. Is it as crazy as Miami or Ft Lauderdale ?They will have carry on’s only…..but thinking for the flight back to Toronto…..can they do a 11:45 am flight after getting off Brilliance of the seas from the Tampa port ? Or with these crazy days, should they be looking at the other option …4:30 pm. Probably Delta or Westjet. appreciate any suggestions thank you Brockmom
  9. Update ! Spoke to a lovely representative today in hope they would apply my Elite plus dinning discount. Apparently this cannot be done. So no need to buy the package on line unless they are reduced MORE than your Elite discount of 15%. I was disappointed I couldn’t take advantage of both deals. Package is cancelled and will purchase on board. cheers Brockmom
  10. Well I will report back cause this will be interesting to see how it works.. keep ya all posted ! Brockmom 😉
  11. So if your buying a package how do they apply the discount? thanks
  12. Thanks for the heads up. i will try to call Captain club this week to get the scoop. If they tell me the ship will adjust I will know that won’t happen. and I do recall online purchases can’t be touched on board so that makes sense. so I did go ahead and book and if they cannot apply my elite plus discount, to my reduced (7% but something lol) online booking then I will just cancel it and purchase on board. thanks Brockmom
  13. Morning all just went to peek at the cost of dinning packages and I see a gratuities charge added to the cost of the package. I honestly can’t remember seeing this before. For those of you who purchased on board, have you been charged an added charge to the price of your dinners ? Also, there is a discount for Captain club status, how do you get that applied ? we have always tipped after the wonderful service we receive in the specialty restaurants, so I am sure I would have recalled if I had paid an added gratuity to my purchase. thoughts ? thanks ! Brockmom
  14. The testing which Riverside offered in Feb when we were there was offered free…..but was not available when we arrived. The Lab Doctor came to our rescue. If anyone is stuck, they are our go too now ! Will use them again in November.😉 Brockmom
  15. If all else fails, Lab Doctor across from the Embassy on 17 th. Open everyday and your in and out in 15 minutes with results. Super easy !
  16. Whenever we have an ocean view - I use the clothes hangers ( laundry ones) and hang our damp bathing suits etc on them and hook them over the window. Seems to me there was a lip or else I used a screw. Worked like a charm 😊 might want to give it a try !
  17. I also have been searching but want to ensure…any time means anytime….to order that drink during the day….. Or is it any time during the happy hour ? Thanks for clarifying
  18. Thank you everyone! If it was a must do cruise yes I would definitely book early. appreciate your thoughts Brockmom
  19. Just looking at a little 5 nighter for next January. No special need for a particular cabin, just a plain balcony is fine. Would it stand to reason, after final payment would be a good time for the best rate ? Hoping for any tips for this cruise line, we usually cruise on Celebrity and have that one figured out. thanks Brockmom
  20. What are your favourites that are not to be missed ? ( on the Escape) thanks
