We’re on Mariner, Captain announced we were docking at a different location so that another ship could use our spot.  We saw Harmony leaving, I don’t remember when but thought it was a strange time to be leaving.

I looked at Marine Traffic for the ship's position but the information is almost 5 hours old for Harmony.  At that point, it was at the tip of the island.

We were departing for Baltic sea cruise. Whipped out my trusty Iphone and zip, Nada . So the printed copy came in pretty handy.

If your iPhone had battery issues, then the printed copy was a good alternative.  If you are talking zip, nada, not cellular coverage, that can happen anywhere.  We always put our set sail passes in our wallet on our iPhone so that we don't have to access the app since the app can be unreliable. The iphone wallet can be accessed without cellular or wifi.  Screenshot of the set sail pass works too.

    You are so observant!!!!

He posted pictures before the game and we could tell they are beside the Toronto bench from that picture.  Owen's sunglasses are making them easy to see.  They are in a lot of shots from a distance but I was able to get them as the team left the ice at the end of the period because they are by the tunnel too.  🙂

Big sports day in Boston area with the Red Sox at 4, Celtics at 6 and Bruins at 8. 😄

Our cruise is 9 days,  The 2 device price showing now is $324.  $22/day for the 1st device and $14 for the 2nd device.

I have a 9 day coming up and have a 2 device package.  Lowest I have been able to get is $278.91.  The 1st device has been as low as $19.99 but when it gets to that the second is discounted at 25%.  I had the 1st device at $20.99 and second discounted 30% at one point.  Just Royal Caribbean math.  Onboard pricing is showing as $26.99.

What site do you use to keep up on the BD happenings?

I follow a few of the cast on Instagram.  Stories also pop up in my feed there, a lot from US Weekly.  I also follow BravoTV and they are always posting Below Deck videos that aren't on tv.  Captain Glenn is good about answering questions from people, you have to read the comments to see them.  He posted last week that he has no idea when in 2024 season 5 is coming but it should be this year.  When asked if Daisy, Colin and Gary were on this season, he posted a zippered lips emoji.

There are also some really good bloggers that are posting a lot from the Serenade and the World Cruise.  Lots of gorgeous videos and pictures.

I believe I read that the new Below Deck season with Captain Sandy and Aisha begins in June🤔

BD season 11 still has 4 charters left, I think, which could possibly be shown in the next two or three weeks🤔

Below Deck Med is coming back early because of all the issues with Gary from Below Deck Sailing Yacht.  They were filming season five with Gary as part of the cast when sexual assault allegations were filed against him from a makeup artist.  He has posted on another social media site, laying in a field of daisies, saying that he was "cancelled because of a lie". Captain Glenn has posted recently that he will be back in 2024 but nothing more than that.  Not sure if they totally reshot a new season or what as they are all under NDA's.

My cruise leaves on Sunday.  A few days ago I received the concierge email.  I responded with my time requests for Coastal Kitchen and two specialty restaurants.  (I have substantial OBC and wanted to spend it onboard).

My show reservations were made by me.

I did ask this question before, and one person answered that they received a response  (not on my cruise or ship), so I resent yesterday.  (am I on my way to being a pest?).

Still no response.  Shouldn't my specialty dining reservations be showing be showing in my Cruise Planner if Concierge made them?

Some concierge will confirm quickly and others will take a day or two. I have always gotten an email confirming they have taken care of our requests.

Just got the email I was expecting.  In place of Labadee (for June) going to somewhere in the Dominican Republic.

Questions are: how long does it usually take for RCCL to switch shore excursion offerings on theire website?  Still shows Labadee and, since I've never been to DR I have no clue what do see/do.

Also....what to see/do in Puerto Plata, Dominican Rep?

It took over a week for our excursions to load after they changed us to Puerto Plata.  Even then, half of the excursion were only there in title, with not details or ability to book.  Took a few more days for them to load completely.

Do these ships dock in Juneau or normally tender?   I see NCL Bliss and Encore have Juneau marked as a tender port.

The ships normally dock in Juneau.  This link will show you what dock you are at for all the Alaska ports.  Look at the port schedule and then go to the berth codes to see which dock you are at.  I looked at a few Quantum sailings for Juneau and it says AS, which is the Steamship dock right downtown.

I've had the same problem for a couple of weeks.

EDIT:  and just as I type that, I go to the app and it asked me to login again.  I can now at least see the restaurants and menus but still can't make a reservation.

Are you sailing soon?  I can see restaurants in the app but no menus.  Have not been able to see menus in the app at for this reservation.

  11. The elevators and stairs are in a separate lobby from the cabin passageways.  If you have a cabin near the elevators, you will have more people traffic past your cabin.  Noise will depend on the people on your sailing and whether they are courteous when they walk by your cabin.

We have had many cabins near the elevators and for the most part, it wasn't an issue.  We find booking in that area to be very convenient.

We have been in our house 44 years, so a lot of stuff.  Having four kids store everything in the walk up attic has been a treat😳All their work clothes, school stuff, prom dresses, wedding stuff just shoved up there so we can never move😁

I am one of five and when you moved out of the house, you had to take all your stuff with you!  My Mom wouldn't let us leave anything.  I am going to try that if I can ever get my son out of here lol 😄

Thanks. I've never eaten in CK. What's your opinion of it? Is it more like a specialty restaurant or more like a smaller MDR just with different choices? Despite being on Cruise Critic every day I haven't really done any research about the dinner experience there.

Quantum class ships handle reservations a lot better than Oasis class and you should be able to make dinner reservations for the whole week.  That has been our experience on multiple ships of this class.

As far as the food, some like it, some don't.  We find the food always is hot and fresh in CK.  My DH loves the french onion soup in CK and gets it every night.  I find there are more fish options in CK..  You should be able to find the menus in the app to get an idea of what they have.

I thought for JS cabins CK is only available for dinner on space availability and breakfast and lunch isn't an option. Is that not true for JS cabins? I'm on the Ovation at the end of the month.

Yes, it is on a space available basis if you are in a JS but on Ovation, you should be able to make reservations for the whole week.  Just go to the podium outside of CK once you board and they will help you with reservations.
