Are there any hotels closer and on the beach?

  2. Actually....we called in 10 days AFTER we booked our cruise at the lowest rate to date (and during the BOGO sale), and THEN they applied our Balcony discount in addition (which further lowered the price).

I did that also, I saved $1000 for both of us. However my TA took away

"With this lower rate, you will no longer be receiving $125.00 shipboard credit for the cabin. You will still be receiving pre paid gratuities for the first and second guests in the cabin coming from Cr***n as well as the dinner for two in a specialty restaurant valued at $60.00 for the cabin"

  3. From reading on here it sounds like:

La Quinta Inn & Suites Cocoa Beach Oceanfront will be a fun place to stay

Which Shuttle would you suggest from the Airport?

How much for transportation to Port Can?

Post Cruise: What is the earliest time you would suggest for a departure flight?

What transportation would you suggest to get from Pier to Airport?

(Renting a car is not an option, I just don't want the hassle.)

  4. Yes, we stayed there in early January for two nights pre-cruise. It's close to Lauderdale by the Sea, a couple of great restaurants like Nick's and the Greek Islands and of course it is on the beach. However the hotel is very dated, not very clean and while our impression was that while it was great for families it was not a place we would care to stay again. Our cab fare from FLL was about $60 and the shuttle to Port Everglades was $35 for two of us. Next year we will bite the bullet and stay in the 17th St. corridor like we normally do.

I agree with Putter, we stayed Feb 13th, and any savings I may have gotten by going through Priceline gets eaten up by the cab fare. Hotel is sideways so your room faces buildings rather than the ocean.

  5. My TA said the discount ends today? I thought it was the 31st of March.

It is now after 5 pm CST, so I can no longer book with her and would have to call RCCL directly.

BUT the reason I contacted her because I wanted to know which cruises qualify for this and we want to surprise our 16 yo son by taking him on his 1st cruise in June.

Can anyone else help me find which cruises would qualify quickly? I hate being under pressure to book. GRRRRR
