My husband and I are not wine drinkers. Do you think we would like this?
-
I think that paragraph speaks volumes. And to think you were in a position to be sitting in judgement of what the rest of us wrote around here.
And wondering if he got fired and came back to stir the pot....

Thank you for the review/comparison!
What is your opinion of the cost difference between the lines?

Kelsey's Restaurant & Pizzeria (family friendly pizza / Italian near the port)
Fishlips

Rusty's Seafood and Oyster Bar
Grills Seafood (Grills/Rustys/Fishlips .. the portside trilogy ... I prefer Grills)

Are there any hotels closer and on the beach?

How do you get that Emerald in your sig line?

Cant tell you about the time frame, but it is really fun!
We booked day before the cruise. They picked us up at the Airport and took us there and then to motel. Pretty awesome!

Cute review, I love snarky humor! :D

That's still a good deal from the TA. I would not be disappointed.
Maybe 'mad' is a bit strong, just disappointed they took something away just due to a price drop.
-
Actually....we called in 10 days AFTER we booked our cruise at the lowest rate to date (and during the BOGO sale), and THEN they applied our Balcony discount in addition (which further lowered the price).
I did that also, I saved $1000 for both of us. However my TA took away
"With this lower rate, you will no longer be receiving $125.00 shipboard credit for the cabin. You will still be receiving pre paid gratuities for the first and second guests in the cabin coming from Cr***n as well as the dinner for two in a specialty restaurant valued at $60.00 for the cabin"

Yes!
Searching, searching planning and more planning... for hotels closest to the beach, airfare to get me in a day ahead of time so I can enjoy as much of my vacation as I can!
I am going out of Port Canaveral this cruise, it is turning out to be more of a pita with the closest airport being 40 miles away. :(

What hotel would you suggest as closet to beach and closest to oceanside resturants?
We do like touristy areas.
-
Oh no really??
Our last cruise was on Legend 10 nighter, it was so irratating hearing the Band playing and chairs scraping across the floor. (This was the 1st time on any cruise I had heard the noise.) Did you notice this same thing?
-
Would you chose a AFT or Hump on Deck 10? And why...
We enjoy the Windjammer for breakfast and Casino in the evenings.

From reading on here it sounds like:
La Quinta Inn & Suites Cocoa Beach Oceanfront will be a fun place to stay
Which Shuttle would you suggest from the Airport?
How much for transportation to Port Can?
Post Cruise: What is the earliest time you would suggest for a departure flight?
What transportation would you suggest to get from Pier to Airport?
(Renting a car is not an option, I just don't want the hassle.)

Ok thanks!
Starts and ends in Miami.
So we just need BC and his drivers license?
-
Or can we use his Birth Certificate?

Yes, we stayed there in early January for two nights pre-cruise. It's close to Lauderdale by the Sea, a couple of great restaurants like Nick's and the Greek Islands and of course it is on the beach. However the hotel is very dated, not very clean and while our impression was that while it was great for families it was not a place we would care to stay again. Our cab fare from FLL was about $60 and the shuttle to Port Everglades was $35 for two of us. Next year we will bite the bullet and stay in the 17th St. corridor like we normally do.
I agree with Putter, we stayed Feb 13th, and any savings I may have gotten by going through Priceline gets eaten up by the cab fare. Hotel is sideways so your room faces buildings rather than the ocean.

Years ago we had ribs on the lunch buffet.
Has anyone been there recently, wondering what is on the buffet?

How do I figure out which ones are the select sailings or is it all of them?
-
My TA said the discount ends today? I thought it was the 31st of March.
It is now after 5 pm CST, so I can no longer book with her and would have to call RCCL directly.
BUT the reason I contacted her because I wanted to know which cruises qualify for this and we want to surprise our 16 yo son by taking him on his 1st cruise in June.
Can anyone else help me find which cruises would qualify quickly? I hate being under pressure to book. GRRRRR

YEA! I hope they do turn people away at the door.
If you don't know what 'formal attire' is, then this isn't the place for you.
So happy to hear this, we would dine there every night. Love dressing for dinner!
