Just obtained the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 for three nights in July for $82.00 using the Secret Hotwire rate.
What is the secret hotwire rate?

Good information!
I just booked today...yipeeeeee!!!

Great pictures very professional looking.:)

I'm not sure if this is true or not because I haven't had it done, but I have read that it's a bad idea because it can sometimes hurt. Someone said that it caused them so much pain that their cruise was ruined.
OH I hadnt even thought of that...forget it not worth a chance at ruining a cruise.
Thanks!

How long does it last? Does it really work?
Looking for opinions before I book it.

Hi all, I am seriously considering a priceline bid for San Juan on the night of April 29th (pre-cruise). I am new to priceline and have been trying to search for a link to give me an overview of the bidding process, so far no luck. I would really like to get the Marriott for the night and would appreciate any assistance on how to best increase my odds for that hotel. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Post Cruise: Priceline $65 won Old Sheraton San Juan on 1st try.
VERY HAPPY GIRL here!!
-
Bidding up to $81 for end of Feb but no luck. Will keep trying...
-
If you want only the Sheraton Old San Juan, just bid for 3.5*, not Resorts. If you are open to receiving a resort as well, than that's fine, you can click 3.5*, 4* and Resort. However, please remember, you are in no way guaranteed to receive any specific property. You will get a property in the zone you want, at the star level you want, but not a specific hotel.
That said, your chances of getting the Sheraton Old San Juan are good, I've seen that property several times in the last couple weeks for winning bids. I got it with a $75 bid last week. Good luck!
I did bid the 1st time at $75 rejected, then it said to add more/change my criteria but 4 star, resorts was checked even though I didnt check them nor could I uncheck them What gives?
Can I only bid once every 24 hours?

Just spent 45 mins reading this thread, so if someone could save me some time I would appreciate it.
Would like Old San Juan Sheraton
so on Priceline do 3.5 and resorts?
Just want to make sure I have this right as last time I screwed up.
Thank you!!!

Hoping to get the Sheraton again in Feb *fingers crossed*

Sass4: what did you put it for the Sheraton.
I'm just paranoid. Once I finally understood how to bid for the Marriott Stellaris (resort only, the various permutations), I had no problem and got it almost immediately.
But I'm must more worried about trying to get the Sheraton. I'm just afraid I'll add an area and end up on the other side of the island or in a 4* that I don't want.
I realize that it's a risk.
I keep checking Hotwire, but only 1 3.5* comes up and from the amenities, it's the Normandie. :(
Any help would be appreciated.
3.5* and San Juan only
Good Luck!

Drats!
2 different hotels for each night. I didnt think we could make it Friday the 20th so I jumped the gun and did priceline and won Sheraton for Sat
Now I find out we can go early, just booked my airfare and then hit price line HOPING to get the Sheraton again.
Just won Courtyard By Marriott San Juan Miramar for $70 for Fri 2/20
and then we have to move to the Sheraton on Sat 2/21.
How far is this from the airport and how far is it from Courtyard to Sheraton?
Looks like it's going to be an adventure!
EEEEEEK!
